It can backfire of course. I know all about "Go Compare" and actively refuse to go anywhere near the site down to the stupid faux-opera singer shite. Even the Ukraine war hasn't put me off the meerkats, such is my disgust.

I'm not a Mary Whitehouse and I don't mind uttering the odd profanity, but those ads really get my goat. What's funny about making the word booking sound like fuking on primetime TV?
