I called them yesterday too, she said they were trying to work something out with brands, and that there is still plenty of space for the cadwell park date and not to worry if i want to swap there will be spaces.

Just spoke to Tony from ESS.

His meeting is now going to be next Tuesday. I will phone them on Wed to find out what he was offered. Brands have already been apologising, so he is hopeful of something decent.

I phoned them yesterday.

They said they would be trying to work out a 'special package'. However this would be mid-May I think and I really want to do Brands before the end of April, as some practice for racing.
They mentioned a Race meeting on the Sunday with free hospitality, then the Trackday on the Monday. Think a free night's accomadation may be included, but they haven't finalised details.

Otherwise, they said they would extend the 20% off until they have sorted the other stuff out. I'm tempted to do pace day on the 25th/27 april (I forget which). As it's a 'retail' price of £175, they said they might want an extra £25-30 or so.

Ok, I've just got off the phone to Tony @ ESS.
He's going to send letters out today.

MSV (Motor Sport Vision) have offered the following as a replacement for the fiasco that was the snowed out (or not)trackday/school.

8th May(Sun) - is World sidecar championship round at Brands hatch, there will be tickets and hospitatlity for this event, followed by a trackday on the 9th/10th (School/PACE day as originaly planned)

AND

A FREE trackday in November (hopefully weekend) date to be confirmed.

He has not accepted yet and is waiting until everyone has got the letters to decide.

This will all be available at NO EXTRA COST

I spoke to a lady there earlier who said about the entrance and hospitality, but she didn't mention the free track day Confused

I've got to say I'm a bit surprised they're offering anything, it's not like they can help the weather. It would be different if they'd had to cancel through lack of marshalls or something.

Anyway, 9th sounds good to me. Make a weekend of it and abuse the hospitality Thumbs Up

Right, finally got the letter.

"The two day event will be re-run on May 9th and 10th with an offer of hospitality and entry tickets to the World Super-Side Championships on the Sunday prior (8th May), in addition to that Mr [Jonathon] Palmer has also offered you a free day at Brands Hatch Indy circuit on November 8th."

Sounds bloody good to me. That's November's trackday sorted then Thumbs Up

Just need to see if I can blag Jeanette on the hospitality too now...

We'll probably go for the racing on the 8th and then do the trackday on the 9th (after finding somewhere to stay in between) - hopefully make a good couple of days.

Thanks for the offer Jay, I'll call them to see if we can get another ticket. Like G said though, why not go for the racing? If not, and we get stuck, I'll get back to you if it's alright.
