Number whatever.
Chucked the gs up the road, came over speedbump, on the power, 2nd, floor. Million roly polys and the fucking leathers split all round my knee. Havent seen bike or pics, im told indicator, screen, exhaust, engine casing, bent forks, bent bars, snapped levers and stuffs.
4hrs in pembury hospital in a neckbrace was no fun at all! Knees all fucked up, road rash on back and everything hurts.
No idea if the throttle jammed open, if i hit dodgy surface or if my back tyre went. Wont know till i've reviewed crash site & checked bike over. ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

#45 (I think)
Knocked off by cyclist who came through a red light and t-boned me. Friday morning 15th June.
So that’s a bloke, not averse to the odd pie, knocked off a lardy CBF1000 by a slip of a girl on a pushbike...
... NOT cool.
Thread here: https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=248444
No injury to either party. The CBF1000 has a few scars, but not too serious. The damage is probably equivalent to a driveway drop. I'm hoping that the oil I noticed on my boot on Friday night is just from breathers evicting a few ml of oil that got into the wrong place while the bike was on its side. ____________________ 2016 CBF1000F - Commuter heaven | 1994 CBR600FR - Awaiting defibrillation |

Driving behind a people carrier that was indicating to turn left, as it did so, a white van pulls out of the road that the people carrier was turning into to turn right but has to stop, thereby blocking my side of the road, as the driver of the van couldn't get across both lanes of traffic. I hit both brakes, back wheel goes and me and the bike end up sliding across the tarmac and end up wedged under the van. Looks like the bike's going to be written off as the damage estimate is about £3,000. Thankfully all I ended up with is a damaged achillies tendon. |

Came off this morning, albeit quite slowly. They've been putting frash tar and chipping down on the roads which has left loads of loose stone chippings covering the road, making it like riding on gravel (it's been like this for over a week and they still haven't cleared them up).
Anyway, as I approached a set of traffic lights they changed to amber from green, so I had a 50/50 decision to make, should I risk braking or take a chance at getting through the junction safely. As I was only going slow I took the option to gently brake. All was going well untill I was just about to come to a halt when I heard the sound I didn't want to hear, that of the front tyre sliding on the loose chippings, then down went the bike and me.
Bloody cagers just sat there watching me struggle to lift the bike back up and move it out the way so they could get past. They probably didn't want to get wet as it was pissing down
Apart from a bit of a sore foot I'm okay and so is the bike except the front right indicater's gone.
Going to have to ride home from work tonight with no front indicator too, great! |

First crash, hopefully not too many more to come.
Going along a wide road with a row of parked cars to the left, when a red vans right indicators come on and at the same time he pulls out in front of me, maybe to go down a side road or to do a u-turn.
On go the brakes, try to gently move right incase he stops but went over into a skid, smashed into the side of him and was launched across to the other side of the road.
Shoe came flying off, luckily without my foot in it. Lots of lovely looking lumps sticking through my sock, but had an xray and nothing broken. Got off pretty lightly really
Bike would be a write off, but if we end up settling outside insurance, i'll take some time on it as a project bike.
Heres a pic:

My first spill today. Going round a bend fairly fast I see a lorry coming the opposite direction taking up some of my side of the road. I start to swing wide and see there is a lot of gravel on the road. I could of readjusted my line but it would of required a steeper lean angle which I didnt think the bike could manage on that gravel. So instead I ended up running wide onto 15ft of a gravel layby on which I could not slow down or turn, then flew off a bank. I jumped off, and we(me and bike) landed in a gorse bush, mullering it
Was pretty damn lucky considering 95% of the terrain around here is rocky, trees, or drops. Apart from a slightly sore ankle i'm fine. My carbon fibre mtc exhaust is slightly damaged but air tight still, indicator off, a few cracks in the fairing, broken light, broken resevoir, mostly cosmetic I think. |

^^I think the barb wire fence stopped the bike going into the field down the ditch lol
Was doing around 60mph maybe up to 80mph ish
I just a few bruises, Damage to the bike was ,,,handlebars bent, mirror off, brake pedal bent, mudguard smashed, engine bar bent and scratches on front plastics from the barb wire and trees, could have been a lot lot worse lol
Was still drivable once pulled it out with the car lol, I was just going a bit to fast round the dark lanes and ran a little bit wide and then caught the verge threw me off then bike crashed / went in the hedge / ditch ..... lol
And i still drive like a nutter lol Woop, drove it home and was back out on it the next day
All fixed now apart from mudguard |

Only been riding 4 weeks ish, i feel like such a failure .
Basically, I turned into a retail park slip road, was at about 10 mph and used the front brake as I was turning, in the wet and next thing I know I'm on my side, with the bike running next to me. It was basically a slowside.
My Grandad says there is diesel and oil all over there, but I admit it's (to quote Led Zeppelin) nobody's fault but mine.
Damage to me - graze on my elbow and on my knee (thank god I wore all my gear - I'll never say leather troos on a 125 are overkill again!).
Damage to bike - Smashed nearside indicator cover.
Lucky really.
Paint diagram attached, but it's not too exciting.
