Bit late to the party with this one (apparently, by 11-17 years) but was browsing in a local charity shop and found literally a DVD boxed set of the complete 7 seasons of Sons Of Anarchy, so being a 'biker', I thought it was worth a punt, especially at only 14 quid the lot.

Based on the first couple of episodes, could take me years to work up the enthusiasm to get to the end - good job it only cost me less than a couple of trips to McD's, I certainly won't be bothering with Game Of Thrones

Alien Earth - 9/10

Just started, from Ridley Scott... first two episodes have plenty going on. If any of you watched "Raised By Wolves", that was certainly a very slow (and weird) burner, that got axed after 3 (or 4) seasons.

This is nothing like that, first ep hooks you right in!

I still haven't bothered with either. Laughing

I felt the opposite, the same boring repetitive story ... people enter dark scary place, things move about in the dark, people too dumb to realise they should get the feck out of there, things in the dark attack etc ... they should've quit after the first few films, which were good!

Tried again with Peaky Blinders last night.
Got beyond the brummy accents this time but am still finding it a bit "not all that" - meh.

Just another story of family/intrigue against both the coppers and the other bad guys. I'm up to episode 5 of the first series but it doesn't grasp me. Usually you get to the turning point by about episode 3 so I've made it this far but really ... ?

This doesn't bode well for Sons of Anarchy, either, which I perceive as "just more of the same".

I might nearly be all Netflixed out Laughing

I did binge watch Adolescence, though. Thumbs Up

Peacemaker - it's a bit naff but it doesn't take itself too seriously. Cena does get across the vibe of arrogant and self-centred in the main character, that's acting for you Wink

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Stylishly done prequel set just before the original series. Captain Pike has command of the Enterprise (before the face melting incident) and Kirk is (mostly) lurking in the background. The acting and characters are a bit hit and miss but it does look fantastic. The stories though are mostly recycled from earlier series (all of 'em!) and even other non-Trekkie sci-fi tropes.

tl;dr a tribute act

Been re-watching Blakes 7 for fun and despite the cheap sets
drab colour and questionable physics, its still quite enjoyable in an old fashioned way.
I'd rather watch that over the current Dr Who or Disneys appalling 'reimagined' Star Wars shite

I think wardrobe had the most fun with Servalan Smile

Currently revisiting Miami Vice. Terrible acting, highly questionable wardrobe, tremendous vehicles and of course the master stroke of including the music of the time.

season 2 of Tulsa kings.
the show is enjoyable, but Stallone now has less facial expression than a spitting image puppet. which is a bit distracting.

I'm half way through the second season of ST:SNW and it's not too bad for that sort of thing, certainly way better than Discovery. There is some utterly daft stuff, episodes you will eye-roll through. But then there's dark stuff that you don't really expect from Star Trek Shocked

The Walking Dead - Daryl Dixon.
Never really properly got into any previous series but this one seems to be a lot more interesting.

Yeah, been thinking about giving that another go too.
I don't recall being that invested in it back then but
as above, if I can sit through Blakes 7 I must have a pretty low bar nowadays Very Happy

I watched the whole series about 10 years ago (I worked night shifts at a newspaper company) and I really enjoyed the whole experience. Yeah, sure the begining can be a bit meh- but it gets really good. And then it kinda fizzles and you realise why it wasn't renewed for a 6th series.
