Mmm, but getting a few bikes nicked on you will make it real difficult to get insurance in the future

Yes, but I'm speaking in the point of view of someone with TPFT cover...Confused...but having said that, I can probably get a few quid back from salvage/breaking...

...but I try not show off the bike too much, unless I'm close to it Cool

i only have a little disk lock, and my column lock doesn't work, but i have a cunning plan.
i park next to nice bikes. woh gonna nick a 20 year old cb when its parked next to a brand new sv650.

reminds me of someone featured in an MCN buyers guide of the sv650. He had tatty gaffrer-taped full fairings on his that he called his 'urban camoflauge', cos it put potential thieves off. He had a nice set for the weekends. Bit of a hassle- but he only did it cos he smashed up the first set then kept them and bought the shiny weekend set.

Alarms have little significance in this day and age. My mates brother had a 2 litre turbo vauxhall calibra and it had steering wheel lock, gearstick lock, and an alarm and immobilizer on, and he left it on the drive when he went on holiday.

Came back and car was gone. Aparently a neighbour heard an alarm go off for about 45 seconds one night but as many people do, ignored it. The thieves were actually caught, because they used it as a getaway car for something or other, and said that they jacked up the front end of the car, which sets the alarm off, but once the front end reaches a certain distance off the ground the alarm cancels out, as if the car is being towed away. They then basically would have as long as they wanted to get the locks off and get the thing started.
