Marsbar is your route open to fine-tuning? It's just that there's some really good b-roads coming off the A5 that people would be missing out on, and that way you could also take in the HorseShoe pass by Llangollen.

Please feel free to suggest any route alterations mate. I've heard of the horseshoe pass but never been on it. Sounds like a good idea.

Cool, there's a cafe at the top of the HorseShoe pass that attracts a lot of bikers on the weekends which would make a good stop.

I was thinking that if we turned off the A5 at Cereg to go to Ruthin, there's a really good b-road that basically climbs from the bottom of one valley and descends into another, then we could take the A525 towards Wrexham, go through the Nant-y-Garth pass (another gem), turn off towards Llangollen and go down the Horseshoe pass.

This is a bikers only ride out. Why not follow your friend to his house, drop off your stuff at his house, then have him ride pillion on the route?

Personally the idea of sitting on the pillion seat of the Goose for any length of time does not appeal, whoever is on the front Wink

All the best

I think Id be up for it. Get adverts in MCN etc so that there is a decent turnout. Itd be worth e-mailing the magazine staff as well, then you may get decent coverage from them.

I'm sure I'd be up for it, as long as it doesn't conflict with the French F1GP or the R&B, infact July is a pretty busy month for me! Still get some dates suggested and I'll see what I can do. I may even bring along a few friends Very Happy

I'm gonna *research* some of the roads on the route this weekend. The things i put myself through Smile

The police are going a bit mental at the moment tho, coz 9 bikers have been killed already Sad The gits are going over ppl's bikes and doing them for everything not 100% legal, basically trying to put off bikers coming here. Hopefully they'll have have calmed down by July *fingers crossed*.

They pulled me for spot checks on the way to work on Wednesday night, along with every other bike going anywhere near Avebury (a local meeting place). Strangely enough they didn't pull any cars though!
