That's what I was told, but then the guys who did my CBT said they weren't that great.
I'm not mechanically minded, so I'm not sure what to do. |

As long as they are in at least average condition for their manfacturer either one should be an excellent bike for you.
I would expect the Suzuki to go around the £800 mark and the Hyosung to be between £450 and £550 ____________________ Kal...

Yeah dont worry about the kickstart, you get used to them after the first week, just means less drain on the battery, also i dont think they put a kick stand on because its a danger, too many people riding away with them down.. but putting it on the centre stand isnt hard |

I wouldn't worry about the kick start either. I've got a 51 plate CG, which I think is about a year or 2 before they introduced the electric start. But it's not a problem, most CG's will start with ease 1st kick even when it's been sat for a while and in the freezing cold I've never had a problem, almost as easy as pressing a button tbh.
I stalled mine once on the CBT, right at the very end pulling out of a busy junction about 2 junctions before we got back to base, was a bit annoyed having gone all that way then stalling! Since then so far in 6 months of riding I haven't stalled it once, not showing off just pretty proud, no drops either. Probably put the mockers on it now. |

I am new here, and to biking, and need some advice! I am looking for my first bike - a 125cc - and don't really know where to start. I am looking for a good, reliable cruiser, and any hints or tips would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi guys.
Ok, so I've not been out much on my bike since I got it (my nana has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, so a lot of my evenings have been spent visiting her). I did go on a long rideout with a mate on Sunday, and I identified some "things I need to work on".
Lifesavers - keep forgetting.
Gears - sometimes just not sure which one I am in.
Roundabouts - which lane?!
Not stalling - 'nuff said.
I know that practice makes perfect, etc, but I do get really worried about being on the road by myself with all this stuff to think about. Any words of wisdom?
(This is my bike, with a lovely cameo of my dog). |

Mirror, Signal, Lifesaver, Maneuvre.
Don't worry about which gear you are in as long as the bike is riding good (engine not labouring or bouncing off the limiter).
Roundabouts, just start planning what you are going todo earlier ____________________ CBR125R '05 > CB500 '00 > CBR600F '99 |

I have been practising quite a bit lately, mainly by commuting. It had been going pretty well, until today...
The journey started off with me stalling as I came out of the alley 'round the back of my house. By now, that wouldn't faze me, but a pillock and his girlfriend were walking by and he was laughing uproariously at me. I felt like going over and headbutting him.
The journey ended with me stalling (yet again) on A ROUNDABOUT! This is one of my all time biggest driving fears. I hate roundabouts at the best of times, but to be stuck on one... I felt sick. I got it started on the third try, which led to more thoughts of what would have happened if it hadn't started. |
