Yeah, if they actually get off their arses and process it quickly. The good / negative balance has to be restored though and I opened my post this morning.

Summons to court on 29th July for my speeding offence 3 months ago. Bugger.

If it is nicked or burned, he (the former owner) won't be making a claim, because he won't be interested. And his insurance won't be interested because he is no longer the owner/rider/keeper of the bike.

If the new owner wants to make a claim, he will have to do it on his policy.

bennets wanted 25 £ to tell them i had changed my alarm form a meta (which imploded) to a cat 1 data tool all the bells and whistles. they wanted 25£ admin fee. what the hell! why arent teh government cracking down on the insurance companies? they take the piss, no one else in society is allowed to discriminate due to age, race, religion, sex etc etc but insrance companys casn, we legally have to have it. i can see why some people onteh road dont bother. my car insurance went from 900 w/3 years no claims to 1500 a year later w/ 4 years no claims and a year older. i cannot find a cheaper quote then 1300 on the net anywhere, how can they possibly justify this? i posed them no risk and havent done for 4 years.... they piss me off big time. its a massive dark cloud for me.

lol talk about over complicating things..

the new owner isnt even going to know an existing policy exists!!!!!! if he has a problem he's going to call HIS insurance and HIS alone.

insurance is held by the person not the vehicle. even if this new owner knew it had an existing policy he couldnt claim on it as its not in his name

No it won't, there's always cancellation charges and admin charges to discourage people from cancel mid way through the policy. Just leave the policy running.

It's all down to the numbers. The insurance is essentially a bet that you wil cost the insurers money based on a number of factors.

Live in a highcrime area, or share demographic details with a group likely to cost the Insurers money then it will cost you more.

In your specific case I'd suggewst something has happened in the last year in your local area or demographic group to suggest you might be a potentially more expensive risk than previously assessed.
