Okay, next time i deliver pizzas in the rain, i'll stick one of those helmet cams on my helmet (funnily enough) and see what i can do for you. Crashing doesn't seem to get me into trouble it's just embarrasing (so far i've been lucky enough to escape injury). ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

Heh, nice one G.
Like the standing on the bike once you came off... classy.
And, well done Luke, for parking up and giving said wobbly wheel a bit of a kicking . ____________________ Not here... |

G,
I think that the rear brake is an oft underused comodity on bikes. I have this habit that if I think 'oshit' like in a corner or whatever, I tense up my foot and the rear brake comes on. This is certainly better than tensing up your arms!
It might be a bit of a bad habit, but it seems to have saved my leather clad arse once or twice.
Dunno if it applies to wheelies though!

My Triumph rear brake is poo, but I don't mash it on.
Its just a subtle thing, It probably just gives me the confidence to get round corners really.
When doing a wheelie however (If I could do one!), I would imagine that I am more likely to REALLY go 'ohshit' and actually have enough effect to overcome a wheelie.
I do have a fix for my rear brake, that I have yet to fit, that will apparently make it a million times better.
I think I'll wait until the summer to fit it though!
anyway, hope you get the RD sorted.
Remember, its not got a broken clutch lever, its just an added 'feature'! ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F

A little obvious on a road bike... and looks like I was getting it a bit higher than that would let you go anyway
I occasinally think of getting an old blade at some point in the future when it'd be a reasonable proposition... considered one of the best learn to stunt on bikes. Then I realise I have a zx9 that's pretty ideal for such things.
Just need to sort out the gearbox... and there's a subframe on ebay at the moment . |
