We can meet and do stuff? Yeah, sounds great dude. Hey I've got an even better idea. Our new club could be called the "Stuff Doing Massif". We could have regular chapter meets and start a message board so all the "Stuff Doing" members could communicate and talk about "stuff". Yeah, who's in? Very Happy Laughing

So don't bother posting with stupid witty comments you stick to plodding along dreaming about one day getting your knee down or having a nice looking bike.

I reserve the right to make stupid witty comments.

I really would like to join and buy some "Mayhem" stickers but I'm currently saving all my pennies for a "nice bike".

Oh where was I, there I am again off day dreaming about getting my knee down.

I honestly don't know what you expected with a topic like this. It was obvious that you were going to get some stick really now wasn't it.

I stopped buying stickers with things like "Mayhem" written on when I reached puberty and noticed girls. One day when your voice breaks you too may notice them, that is if you're not out causing too much . . .

Don't the best 'clubs' happen organically anyway?

Some spod sent me a link for their club the other day, and it was all 'this person is the club secretary, this person is this, this person is that, you get your t-shirt from here but only after you've been approved by a majority of members and done this and done that...'

BCF... we're deeply disorganised, nobody's 'in charge', we only just got it together to come up with a t-shirt design after several years... we just go out and do stuff if we feel like it and that's as organised as it gets. Which is nice. Loads of us meet all the time, sometimes there's a couple of us who are bored and go out to play, sometimes it's big excursions to some event. We help each other out when needed, we slag each other off when required and take the piss almost constantly. I somehow doubt any organised, planned club will reach the level of friendship that BCF has.

GROUP HUG!!!!!!!!

No it was just what happens when people want to set up a kiddies "gang" with secret handshakes etc. Mayhem Street Riders, I ask you! Smile I have to say though kudos to you for standing up to us lot wat_400.

Seriously, We haven't rated any of his posts as spam which is mostly what happens when stuff like that gets posted, so I think he came off rather well actually! Thumbs Up

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I personally think its a good idea, i think the sticker is smart but looks like the kind of thing you see on a done up nova or similar crappy cars and is best left to the boy racer wanna be's. I wouldn't have the sticker on my bike as i may get the piss taken out of me Embarassed.

Biker gangs seem a lot more popular in the U.S, but over here we just tend to meet up when ever we want and just meet new people, we don't form gang's as it seems kinda kamp Rolling Eyes , will you be in my gang Wink.

To be fair we've had a lot of people coming along with the 'do you want to be in my gang' thing (okay, usually a forum not one that calls it's self a gang, but...) oblivious to the fact that we actually have a decent community here that people enjoy.

https://www.mayhemstreetriders.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=642
Hmmm.
So how 'official' is your uk chapter then?

Gwan... why don't you buy some nice stickers of tin (too lazy to find link Smile ) and join the BCF gang ... you could try and recruit some of the mayhem riders from the US so that /we/ have a US contingent Smile.

It does seem however that a lot of people don't notice when people are taking the piss in a fairly good natured way often, as the first posts on here seemed to be.

Ooh I'm cocky sarcastic and rude some of the time. Can I get a Middle Finger too? It's a crap idea and the sticker looks poo too. Oh and by the way I don't need to get my knee down on a bike to have fun on it.

That's tough to pick out on a forum based 'conversation'....

After reading the link that G posted, I think you may have a Londoner who'll love to join Mayhem big time styley, the hoe's nismit name iz Tim Westwood. Big up to Mayhem world widez. Try dropping the bitch himself an e-mail...

I'm more suprised at some of your responses though matt.

You would actually let these people stay in your house? What if they put a cap in the dogs ass!

I think this culture is a step too far for the likes of me. Give me a meet with a couple of mates down rivy barn any day over rolling with my homiez on the west side, drinkin on gin and juice, laid back..with money on my mind....

That would be me. I have to say that the particular comment I made was supposed to be tongue in cheek and not meant as an assault upon yourself. The thing is, the whole gang thing is exactly what I used to do with my mates when I was eleven years old. The whole, "You can't be in our gang unless you have a BMX" thing.

There is an element of this here, gang logos, Having the word "Mayhem" in the name, calling yourself a "Chapter". I just don't see why you feel the need to go to all that effort unless its a latent boyhood need to belong to a gang. I'm sorry If I offended you but it all strikes me as being somewhat adolescent.

The real reason that I said what I did, is that you got shirty about the original bad responses which to me shows that you might be somewhat insecure about what you wrote. In a way I was taking the mickey out of those people. Perhaps I was unsuccessfully attempting to be self deprecating.

If you notice too, I also pointed out that you could have had a worse flaming initially if people genuinely didn't like your post.

Maybe I'm wrong and you might not take this in the spirit in which it is intended, but you seem like a sharp guy, I'm sure that you'll understand its not a personal attack, its a bike chat forum! Smile

I live in Hull (that's in England) so it would depend on where the other two members lived in order to meet up. Does anyone in the Hull area go for rides out? My bike is ready to go now....I currenty have my own gang which also has two members, me and bongo.

I think the sticker is silly, and BCF is way better.
