Apparently if you take the chain off and soak it in old engine oil (had forgotten about that) overnight or whatever it does it allot of good, but it will need a little bit of adjusting after as it will expand then shrink back.. never tryed it (and won't ever, ahhh shaft drive ).
But a ceramic based lube is supposed to be best, reason being it won't pick up the road filth as badly and as its lubricating agent is not liquid as such wont be quite so inclined to just come straight off as soon as the bikes moving...
I used the halfords stuff and it appeared to stay on for a long time (but then it was an enclosed chain, it didn't spray all over the inside of it as badly as 3in1 did ) ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |
