Since when did a 125 2 stroke often get mistaken for a 400. Laughing

Most 400's are smaller than 125 2-stroke.... i could ride a 125 but couldnt evan sit on a 400 Laughing

My favourite bike magazine is not in print any more. It was called Used Motorcycle Guide, a little A5 booklet full of articles submitted by real life bike owners.

Got loads of them. Bought most of them from about 1987 to 1994. They were a good read at times.

All the best

Seat heights are normally lower on 400's but not the actual size of the bike, NSR's are tiny!

It really isn't physically big for a 125 though, the RS is physically bigger than the NSR!

Yes but you don't hear the GP teams going "sh*t man ,our bike is too small, let's make it bigger and heavier so it goes and turns slower" do you? Rolling Eyes

I wish! Once worked out what my hourly rate would be for the time I put in ... less than the legal minimum wage! (Depending on the time of year, considerably less!).

Don't get paid enough, work too many hours, still the best job in the world! Very Happy

Once went for a job on a car mag at EMAP. Now, call me a girly, but I was a bit put off by, before the interview, watching a load of rats running around the company car park!

The guides live on at https://www.umgweb.com. I think there's even new stuff submitted but you'll have to check. There's an article on there about its demise.

If I remember right it the nearest to it now is Used Bike Guide - https://www.usedbikeguide.com/ - but I don't know who stocks it as haven't seen it on the newsagent shelves. There's a bit on the web site asking for submissions with a £ sign. Why not try them? Thumbs Up

Liked the article by the way Very Happy
