When was the last time you rode pillion?

2002. Hated it, friend rode like an utter pillock and I had no gear.

Tried to in November on my wife's ped.... it struggled to pull off with my fat arse on the back and she struggled to hold it up so the attempt was binned.

Only time I've ever ridden pillion was on the day of my CBT, when I helped the instructor pack stuff up and he gave me a lift back to the office. Only 1/2 mile or so.

Never taken a pillion either.

the only person who I ride pillion with is my wife, occasionally we share her bike, and she gives me a lift there, and I ride the bike back, quite happy to do that

only ever time I get lifts is to collect bikes from garages, or when I've dropped them off, and they are not doing courtesy bikes

got a lift on the back of my mates GS-Rangerover thing, and it was horrible, killed my hips

Late 90s, R6, across Lincolnshire. I'm rather heavier than my chum and he was unable to get too much throttle down due to the thing wheelieing. He then took revenge for our time as teenagers tearing round with him on the back.
That was the last time I was pillion, and I'm in no rush to change this!

Mus be about three years ago now. My instructor took me to do my CBT on the back of his MT. The ride was fine but, I must admit that I felt a little uncomfortable being so close to another bloke.

Spring 2006, I'd just passed my test and the new-to-me bike had a tank of stale fuel which made it cut out on a main road. A group of passing bikers gave me a lift to a petrol station to get some fresh fuel.

I'd guess 1999/2000. It was a mate's VFR400 and I thought it was the fastest bike in the world. He said I was rubbish on the back for the first 15 minutes but then I relaxed and got better.

2010. Not really an experience I care to repeat, since it involved the rider (who was a good couple of stone lighter than me) fighting the front of the bike back on to the road every time we moved off from a static start. Across London. In rush hour.

On the back of a Fazer in 2013 when the seller wouldn't let me test ride but took me out on the back. Couldn't help feel he was showing off and tbh, maybe in the hope of selling the bike, but his positioning on the road was all over the shop! Didn't buy that particular bike, not specifically because of how he rode, but it didn't make me feel so confident about how he'd looked after it.

Last time I was a pillion on my own bike when I'd run out of petrol on my other. This was last year.

It's a different experience and it's kind of fun. I wouldn't ride pillion with anybody who goes as fast as I would though.

Had loads of pillions myself.

Last Spring, teaching Mrs stinkwheel how to ride with a pillion. Neither of us liked it, I'm twice her weight and kept trying to steer the bike from the back seat.

Prior to that it was two-up on a C90 with my mate Big Chris who is aptly named at 6'7". That was a hoot, kept popping wheelies every time he changed gear.

I needed to get to Catania airport (Sicily) so as to pick up a package for work from the UK.Instead of going by cab,one of the technicians from the factory suggested I jump on the back of his Honda FT500 as it would take far less time.On that journey I nearly lost my kneecaps several times,as we rode far too quickly through small gaps between the traffic.That was back in the mid-80s

I took a friend pillion on their bike as they had no experience of riding with someone on the back.It was interesting because the seat on the back of a sportsbike is not particularly big for anything,let alone carrying a passenger

Probably about 19 years ago I got on the back of a 125, started off holding the back of the bike... as soon as it started moving I had a vice like grip on the rider (first ever time on a bike).

Would never do it again for the same reason as a couple of others have said.... If I'm not in control of the vehicle then I don't feel safe (but then that's the same with most vehicles I'm in
