I will make the appropriate change in my riding style if you think it will be beneficial. Chequered Flag .

You get more 'feel' through the pegs with your toes/balls of your feet on the pegs instead of the instep, plus if you are of the frame of mind to get your knee down, you will find it easier....

For a CG rider to take on an NSR at the lights, he (or she) must either know a bit about extracting performance from their bike, or just be willing to take anything on.

Not to say there's anything wrong with CG's, I've had one to 65 on a damp dual carriageway myself. Very Happy

I know the reason for this.

Restricted NS125s are shit.

I had one. My friend on a suzuki gz125 marauder could get off the lights quicker. He could even lift the front wheel in the process, and my NS wouldn't really.

NS = shit.

Has anyone ever wheelied the NS125R succesfully?

I have derestricted mine in the exhaust now and it is much quicker but i still can't get it to wheely. I've been sitting on the back seat revvin the tits out of it and then just letting the clutch out quickly and it only just jumps up a couple of inches.

i was thinking of getting one of these for it

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=25623&item=7916513102&rd=1

what do you think?

I got a size 112 and a 114 jet for it from eurocarb which cost me just under a tenner so that i can re-jet the carb for the new filter.

What can i do for low end power, will the air filter help. It just crawls to 7500rpm and then takes off.

I could get mine to wheelie, by doing what you said you done. It was quite high but they weren't exactly long.

A power filter should give you a boost and a little more low end power, just make sure its jetted properly. It'd be even better if you could get your mitts on a bigger carb. Thumbs Up

Personally I keep my right foot about half an inch above the brake lever and have yet to accidentally press it since the first day I got it. I keep my left foot tucked under the gear lever unless I'm going on a long ride and I'm not going to need to shift of brake soon and my arches/heels are getting achey. At that point they like to rest with toes on pegs for a minute before getting back to business.

Not endorsing it, I just do it. Cool

I know i should do this, i just feel like i have to cover the brake all the time

I will try to cut that bad habit out

I used to always cover the rear brake - starts hurting ankle after a while, so don't do it now. Plus, it ain't that far to move your foot should you really need to - quicker than moving from one pedal to another in a car anyway...

It is better not to keep your foot over the back brake, or sticking out like pigeon feet. It is comfier and you're in a safer riding position as with them sticking out sideways you could clip the ground with your feet in corners.

Any bike can do a wheelie. Rev it to the red line in first whilst going very very slow like walking pace and then drop the clutch! Any bike the front will lift, be it inches for seconds it is still lifting.

And to get your bike to go faster get one of these, a racing high performance power band it'll make your bike feel faster! Razz Razz Thumbs Up Laughing

While I may disagree with your assertion that keeping one's foot over the brake is bad, I can however attest to the drastically increased feeling of speed to be had with the NEW Racing High Performance Power Band! It really works great and I recommend it to anyone w/ a spare pound in their pocket! Also, the bonus penis enlargement guide is well written and very informative. Cool Thumbs Up

Yeah i might get one of those powerband thingies.............NOT

How stupid can people really be, this is why scams on ebay are becoming more common because people are gullable and have too much money.

I think i'll just stick with the air filter thanks, i might get a flag on a pole and tie it to the back of my bike, like the ones that go on the kids trolleys in the supermarket, that might make it look like it's going faster.

It is going a little faster now anyway, i got a new sparkplug and the engine idle speed jumped from 1400rpm to 1600rpm, it lost about 5mph and increased the acceleration time, so i adjusted the carb today and it is flying again.

You just need to lower the brake pedal. Undo the securing bolt, prise it apart with a flat blade screwdriver, move it one spline down, and it's sorted. Still there, but not in the way.
But remember, racing people from the lights is illegal, antisocial and wrong......... If you get beaten. Laughing

People are very stupid and if they're prepared to pay money for it then whats wrong with selling it. It is not a scam, there is even a photo of the thing!!

However no matter how stupid someone is they will manage to find their way onto eBay and buy things. Like the person who decided that buying four copies of an e book on penis enlargement would be a good idea, and didn't complain when all I sent him was one email with one attachment. Laughing Or the person who asked Korn when he was selling them if they would give him a few inches by the weekend, Korn suggested tieing himself to a passing train, and the person came back and asked if he was being serious and had he ever tried it. Laughing Or the person who sent Korn the wrong payment for an eBay item, sold for £2.99 and sent him £299, but wasn't just a decimal place in the wrong place, it was a cheque so the person had had to write out two hundred and ninety nine pounds. Laughing Laughing People are very stupid, the trick is just finding things they want to buy. Smile
