As I was reminded of the sometimes arse aching process of vectorising bitmaps
I've just had a quick play with vector magic and it seems to work pretty well
I did the below bitmap to vector in 1-2 minutes on the basic/numpty level.

This vector isn't detailed enough for carving nor suitable for plasma (stencil) profiles as it is of course but what I do like is how well it removes noise.
Weeding out noisy vectors was often a bloody chore for me when trying to get a good noise to detail balance and I abandoned a few projects in frustration because of it

Cleaning up a vectorized bitmap can be more time consuming than simply tracing over it. When creating a 2D dxf file for plasma cutting, the line locations must be massaged to ensure adequate clearances and spacing. This was necessary with bike shapes above.
