Motorcycle Overheating after Coolant Change

I can accept that these things happen but it all going to shit after a coolant change requires two things to happen at the same time, coolant change and cap fucking up.

What are the odds of those two things happening at the same time?

If the crack in the pipe to the expansion tank (lets get away from the mental american terms that don't really make sense) isn't wet there is no leak.

Potentially the cap could be a problem but, as said, two things have to have happened at the same time. You changed the coolant at exactly the same time as a valve in the cap fucked up.

No doubt the reason you were changing the coolant is because it was pissing coolant out the overflow the first time you rode it.

Quite frankly I'm getting really pissed with you cunts that expect us to diagnose problems when you don't provide information that is as relevant as that.

first thing stop fucking around
1 order a new cap just incase

2 go on ebay and buy some uv dye for coolant Leak Finding and a cheap uv light. fill and inspect with uv light for any leaks carefully.


uv dye dont cost fuck all and its handy to have

3 replace and pipes/ anything thats leaking with new stuff not cutting bits off

once your shaw there are no leaks

4 check that thermastat is acturly opening corectly when it gets to temp

5 now fill and burp pipes while waiting for bike to get to full temp

6 let it cool and then top up when cool to corect mark
NB the main and max marks are only correct when coolent is cold

7 pray you or preveous owner has not over heated it and fucked head gasket and or warped the head

8 if it aint gone and or warped happy days

9 If is fucked figer out if you got the skill to fix it or can afford paying a garrage to do it/if worth the cost it wont be cheap the labour will hurt alot without lube
