Wow the shits has really hit the fan now.

The BIG news yesterday with Hegseth's statements is not about Ukraine, it's about the end of the USA and the President as the leader of the Free World! And the end of NATO in practice if Trump keeps this up.
Its the first in the world history when world super power has given its power on its own!

The problem is that Trump has already weakened NATO and betrayed Ukraine even before the negotiations started, he said no to NATO and the return of territories. This should have been part of the negotiations.

Trump has agreed to ALL Putin demands before the start of the negotiations. WTAF?!?

The reason is Trump doesn't care about Ukraine or NATO and the consequences. The stupid bastard (not my words that is what in the UK DOJ high level staff has said "The bastards has done it!") is desperate to have the calls with Putin and thinks he can make friends with Putin and based on that get some kind of peace regardless of consequences for anyone to get the Nobel price, its all about Trump ego to hell with Ukraine and/or Europe.

Well IHNFY Putin is hardened KGB criminal has zero care about "friends".

Trump will turn out to be the weakest US President ever way weaker president than Biden and Obama.

Putin is Hitler, and Trump is Chamberlain who betrayed Poland in 1939 so that there would be peace. Well, then we know what happened to peace.

Even before his idiotic statements about an armistice, Trump had weakened NATO a lot. A weak President and a weak NATO greatly increase the risk of Russia attacking us.

Brace yourself for UK and European soldiers dying in the upcoming war in Europe because we have weak US President. I hope I am wrong and the Evil Empire collapses soon because of economy. Otherwise we are totally screwed.

I wish we had Reagan to saves us.

The one good thing is Putin for all the bluster has had his nose metaphorically blooded. I'm sure he thought it would be an easy victory over Ukraine, even with western support. That has proved false so I would be stunned if he tried it anywhere else. He needs time to rebuild his forces and training to do better. He personally wont last that long if he tries it on elsewhere.

And America (Trump version) isn't interested in Ukraine. I doubt it's that interested in Europe except for it's puppet states.

I agree with that. The only hope we have is Russia to collapse sooner.

Trump is interested only in Trump. He gives zero fuck about anything else like US, Ukraine, Europe or NATO. He just wants Nobel price it's a trophy for him regardless of the cost.

You are wrong. No one who cares about America will literally destroy American power around the world.

Also to say America does not need Europe is not true. A lot of America's wealth is due to it's power and trade as well. EU-US trade in goods and services reached an impressive €1.6 trillion in 2023.

You remove that both sides will suffer a LOT.

About countries who have happily sat under America's defensive umbrella. Well it's two way street.

In 1950s Harry Truman wanted to save money and said he will not protect Japan and South Korea. South Korea said fine we will develop our own nuclear weapons.

Truman flipped and there was US nuclear bombs in South Korea until 90s.

If Trump and US abandon their world order the one created by US that is fine. EU, Ukraine, Japan and South Korea can have their own nuclear umbrella. They have the capacity to do that literally in matter of few months.

FYI Without approval from Washington, the UK could not use its nuclear weapons system.

I mean UK was not allowed Ukraine to use Storm Shadow missiles because Biden has not given permission, because there is US parts in it.

France and UK now are working to make them with locally sourced parts only to not need the US permissions.

Thinking outside the box here, I wonder if this 'closer ties with the EU' is going to manifest itself in other ways with Starmer using it as an excuse to cosy up and make deals under the umbrella of mutual defense.

Lets be honest, despite the protestations that the US/UK love affair is as strong as ever, it patently isn't. Starmers government have absolutely nothing in common with Trumps administration so if Labour want to play with the big boys, they are going to have to get in the EU corner or risk being ignored.

Trump wanted a Nobel Peace Prize, partly because Obama got one (undeservedly). He’s cocked that up. Now he’ll remember he hasn’t played with the US military yet and it could get messy. Soft targets though, not the old adversary.
