I doubt the weather will dampen the mood and spirit of the " Unite The Kingdom" event

Ah yes, the spirit. Tommy says "I know the football lads are coming from everywhere and I know the discipline they have".

With groups such as Football Lads Against Grooming Gangs in attendance, there's bound to be people there to have a ruck with the trade unions and groups such as Stand Up to Racism as some of those will also be there to have a bit of a fight. Add to that a load of police who have had their leave cancelled means the spirit of violence will be alive and well.

History tells us that protests and riots are quelled by poor weather so it's fair to expect turnout to be much lower than what Tommy is hoping for. Poor weather killing the turnout for protests and riots is why we traditionally have summers of discount tents rather than winters of discount tents.

Unfortunately as we found out with Jan 6th in America it doesn't take many State agitators planted in the crowd to steer things towards violence.

I was watching the protestors down at DSEI this week (on youtube)
(despite living 5 minutes walk from Excel I didn't bother to go down and throw rotten eggs at anybody, in person ...)

Generally a pack of moth-eaten Rent-a-mob types
No doubt they're on their way to central London imminently Rolling Eyes

And what does Karma actually do?

I’d rather you be yourself.

I’m a dickhead & that doesn’t change just because I’m typing to a load of randoms on a forum..

Trade unions you say.
What are they trading in, migrant trafficking and child molestations?

Pshaw!

In all the time I have been here, I've never quite managed to get as far as three gold blobs, cos I swear too much, and rarely make a useful or interesting thread in a "relevant" forum.

Still ... well done.
So far (!!)

We could, any of us, overstep some mark and fall into the abyss Laughing Laughing Laughing

Black bloc are anarchists rather than the typical left wing counter protesters or right wing so called extremists.

https://www.google.com/search?q=black+bloc

These are the flags they wave around, I've not seen any of them today and so this image is a stock image.

https://c7.alamy.com/comp/C1XBPE/black-bloc-black-bloc-anarchists-anarchy-march-for-the-alternative-C1XBPE.jpg

Their preferred activities include smashing up mcdonalds, spray painting starbucks windows, jumping on police vans, being organised enough to stay ahead of the police by running around leading the police on a merry old chase and things like that.

You used to see them at May Day protests, anti cuts protests, the student protests of 2011 but there's not been anything of a similar scale for quite a while now.

I was hoping for their attendance because it makes everything more lively and mostly because the youtube auditors would shit themselves. Laughing

There's a lot more of their ilk over the pond. As for the so-called protests: over 100,000 people according to the BBC and only 9 arrests, no murders, no blood on the streets and no MPs heads on pikes* Sad Very disappointed. More happens at the Notting Hill Carnival!

And the smellies? 5,000 turned up. Why even bother?

*The traditional punishment for traitors after conviction in a court of law of course.

Even an evolutionary psychologist has a hard job explaining why women are keen to import rapists.
