Just to add to this, my mate has the ZXR 400 and I have the NC30.

I'd go for the NC30 any day!

The Kwak does sound better than my sewing machine sound, but my midrange eats him for breakfast.

He's a quicker rider than me, but the VFR is definately a quicker bike than the ZXR and he admits it. I can leave him behind when we set off from lights etc. by a noticable difference.

As for cornering etc. not too sure, but mine feels more comfortable for me, but that's probably because I'm used to it.

Korn

Rvf has 54bhp, Vfr has 59bhp.

me being pickey.

yer honda 400s are the best. I have cbr400 at the mo. it was that or vfr400. Both were prospective first bikes. A decent cbr came up first...

It looks a bit chunkyer than the vfrs. Both make the same power, but the cbr delivers it a bit higher up the rpm range. Not such a bad thing, just different. V4 a bit torquier down low. Both good. Cbr and Rvf has 17" rear wheels, Vfr has 18" rear. I like my cbr becasue it is even rarer than the already rare vfrs and rvfs.

All Hondas corner very well, and inspire confidence. And reliable. Although, mine isnt at the mo, but the engine runs "perfect" and its got 27,000 MILES!

I've almost bought a VFR NC30.

I'm gonna have to ride it all the way from North London to Edinburgh! Laughing That should be fun!

well i have just sold a cbr400rr and replaced it with a zxr 400.

cant fault it at all and infact i prefer it in every way to the honda.

my friend has a vfr400 nc30 and to be honest we are level pegging pretty much all of the time, zxr has a estimated higher top speed.

overall i love the nc30 but its just way to small for me...

its even smaller than a rs125....whereas my zxr is more than upto the task, never really had "hard suspension" but then i have an aftermarket hagon shock, cornering is excellent and has a good low rev grunt!

cant really fault it,overall in the 400 market if you over 5 foot and dont want to follow the sheep get a zxr,you wont regret it
