I got let off doing 125MPHish down a linkroad, Only slowed down to 90-100 when I saw him with his flashers on, Kinda hopeing he'd drive right by but pulled alongside and pointed to the road side, Calmly pulled over, got off my bike and stood there. He let me go with a warning. Luckily didnt ask for my restriction documents, Which I had but at 125MPH it was quite clear I didnt have them fitted.

Maybe his onboard equipment wasnt working, I dont know. He was a nice guy too.

I escaped doing 190km/h in a 100km/h zone (over 50km/h over the speed limit and you lose your licence over here).

In my favour the police car was coming the other direction and I was coming up to a blind corner. As soon as I saw them put their lights on, and pull over to turn around I went around the corner, turned down a lane and hid down someones driveway.

Was pulled over once on my MT5 for being "overcautios". Bored copper on a Sunday afternoon wondering why I'd been looking in my mirrors at his unmarked Vectra. If someone follows you at 30mph for 3 miles up a 60 with oppertunity to overtake you do start getting a bit edgy. "Sorry officer I'll try doing a wheely next time". My bike was legit so he couldn't do me for anything anyway, didn't even give me a producer.

The more serious was being caught at 66mph up a dual carraigeway when I was supposed to be doing 45mph. Got my ballix chewed off me and told the story of the Fireblade rider who lost a leg at the same spot and let off finally with "In future don't fleece the shite out of your 125".

I've had the lights flashed at the odd dirty look at roundabouts, and once a police range rover pulled up beside me in the town centre and shouted "Here mate, get your R plate fixed would ye?".

In my experiance most of them have been alright, or I've just been lucky. Trying to keep my nose clean for two years now though.

As with most peeps, mite have told this story X amount of times but i got pulled last year having my dad on the back of my NRG thinking that since he was fully licensed, it was allowed to drive it with a passenger (this was prior to getting my A2 License). Gave me a producer for driving otherwise under accordance to your license. So, L plated, fat arse dad on back - i only got a repremand for it. My mate got 3 points for giving his mate a backy on his Aerox, but i guess my polite nature got me through. Also the coppers who stopped me were bikers, ended up chatting about track days and what bike i was going to get next, so it didn't make me sound like the average ped-boi.

My mate Chris tells a story of being stopped in Edinburgh whilst riding a pizza delivery bike. Being a C90 with a box full of pizzas on the back, he was of course doing a huge wheelie along the length of Causewayside. It's the law.

He was pulled in by a copper who told him that doing wheelies was driving without due care and attention but if he could prove to them that he was in complete control of the bike by keeping it on the back wheel 'till he was out of their sight, they would let him off. This he duly accomplished and turned off down the nearest side street before bringing the front-end down again.

At least some of them have a sense of humour.

surprisingly, and given how twatish i can ride sometimes, ive never been pulled before. ive gone past(oppasite direction) a coppa' at about a ton before but just didnt roll off as i thought there is no way he can catch me at this speed if he has to turn around.

i have clamed down with the speeding now, quite alot actually.

Was caught speeding by a bike cop with a speedgun once at 60mph in a 40mph zone and he just waved at me as if to say "Keep the speed down please".

Also got caught going through a temporary construction zone red light when there was a police landrover coming the other way Rolling Eyes He just wound his window down and then said he would let me off.

I have been pulled quite a few times. Most of the time going too fast etc.

One time there were loads of bike police near my area (twickenham due to the rugby) and I didn't have my front L plate on my NSR (I never do, makes it look shite Laughing ) He was talking to me at the lights, then as he stopped the traffic to let our traffic go, he just said, "Sort your front L plate out yea?"

Most of them are actually really nice as long as you don't act like a dickhead rude boy.

In fact, I just remembered a REALLY big one. You HAVE to read this.

I was giving my mate a lift down from the petrol garage to my slip road, no more than 400m. I was on my 50cc speedfight, with L plates with my mate on the back with NO helmet. Stupid I know. JUST my luck that a undercover saloon police car was behind me. We stopped, they jumped out and said, "OI!" My mate jumped off, I sped off ahead then looked back only to see my mate getting chased and pinned against the wall LOL. I turned back and pulled to the side. Spoke to them for a bit, they said, "You are not the kind of kids we are looking for (aka ped bois)." I was very apologetic. I had a trimmed L plate, so you can only see the red L, which is 3 points. Plus carrying a pillion with no helmet on L plates. They let me off because they didn't have the right paperwork!!!

I am SO fucking lucky!!!

I was pulled for cutting up a cop car on exiting a roundabout.
It was actually his fault cos there are two lanes to get onto the roundabout. One is marked straight on and turn rihgt, and the other was marked turn left.

We both went onto the roundabout at the same time, but when i am needing to exit , he is still to the left of me, as he is going straight on too. I shd have just gone round the roundabout again but I didnt.

From his point of view, I had pulled in front of him, so he flashed me to stop and came over and was cross at me.

I was tempted to get cross back and point out he was the one in the wrong, but I was polite, apologetic and with a bit of a shocked look on my face.

He let me go. The shocked look wasnt acting, cos I had no licenese or insurance and wd have got in trouble, if he didnt have an aversion to paperwork.

jumped on my bike (rs125)togo to a local bike shop (Jordan Bikes at Gomersal) who were having an open day and doing avon azaro sports at stupidlylow prices 20-25 quid got 1/2 mile away and i went past a police bike at 50 in a 40 zone on came the lights and into the pub car park i went. the officer was a nice bloke and was checking the bike was mine i generally ride with my documents and i had them on me ( saves the problems of going to the cop station with producers) he checked them over said ok and then stood talking to me for 5 mins asking if i was enjoying the weather and the biking and then asked where i was going so i told him. he then said why. i said for a look around a dyno run ( got 28.5bhp with a road legal exhaust and 28m carb) andlook at some new tyres to which he replied o thats alright then ill trust you to sort the front one out today. then said his good byes and drove off now that was lucky considering i had no L plates on, the bike was deristricted and the front tyre was virtually a slick and the tail light not working.

how many points in that then?

I've been let of for speeding about 5 times and been done for it 3 times so not a bad ratio there.

The biggies were 3 insurance related things. Basically i was caught driving/riding uninsured on all 3 counts.

First one was a fair cop. I was 18, carefree and thought it'll never happen to me....then it did. I managed to get away with it completely by doing something very illegal which i'm not going to post because you never know who is reading.

Second time was a genuine mistake. My dad said he had put me as a named driver on his policy but he neglected to tell me that when he swapped the insurance over to a new car half way though an existing policy i hadn't been included on the policy for the new car. So there i was, driving around for months unaware that i was illegal. I had to go to court for this one but managed to talk myself out of it with no points and no fine.

Third time was purely my fault. About 2 years ago, just when i started getting into biking i did my cbt then bought a bike (another gpz incidently) ready for when i passed my test. My impatient nature got the better of me and i couldn't wait to have a little go on it so i took it out late one night for a ride up the road and back and got caught. No tax, no insurance, no licence. Confused "They said we aren't going to do you but you aren't riding the bike back". They said if i could get someone to collect it in a van they could come for it but i don't know anyone so they called recovery firm to impound it and gave me a lift home. To recover the bike i had to turn up at the impound with my licence, insurance and mot for the bike within 2 weeks. Insurance and mot were no problem but obviously i didn't have the licence and knew i probably couldn't get it in time so i put it down to experience, considered losing the bike my punishment for the crime and left it in the impound. I bet it went to auction ages ago.

Needless to say, i've learned every lesson in the book and every vehicle i own now is fully legal.

Ive been let off twice now:

one: Doing about 60 in a 30. Was being followed by a white siera that i thought was just being a tit following me closly. I kept on going and it wasnt till i turned off down my road that i noticed two flashing lights inbetween his headlights. How did he expect me to see them (my shoulders were in the way!). I carried on going as i was only about 50yards away from home and parked bike up. He must have been following me for about a mile along a straight road. He started moaning at me as i was taking my helmet and jacket off then stopped when he saw my work clothes. In my youth i worked for a tyre fitting place that gave coppers discount. He said to drive slower and left. (he did come into work the next day and bollocked me though Smile)

two: Doing 61 in a 30. I got caught by a copper with a guy at about 1:30am. He asked if i knew how fast i was going. I said no, the clocks in kph and i've not had chance to change it yet (it only had about 20km on the clock). I looked at his gun thing and admitted i was more than likely doing 61mph. Apparently anything over 60mph you have to go to court. I got a letter a few days later saying to go to the police station which i did and was told by the officer in charge of the case "I have tried to get you just 3 points and a fine because you we're only 1mph over but ive been told if we prosecute it has to go to court. So i'm just going to give you a warning" Cool

Got radar'd at 55 in a 30, he just shook his head at me, not heard anything since.

Pulled for "scraping pegs and making sparks" (i wish i could on an rs50!) and received a section 59 saying if he caught me again he'd impound the bike, then told me to go home, but as i was with a mate and wanted to ride i just told him i was sleeping his house and they let us bugger off together.

Got sort of let off for speeding on the way down to Snetterton 2 years ago.

Had been doing well over the ton to get to my mates house, running all the digital speed cameras, cos they face the wrong way to catch bikes.

Unfortunalty for me, the police just dropped a car in behind me from one of the exits.

Copper followed me for ages apparently (unknown to me Embarassed ) and then pulled me when my average speed dropped below 100 Twisted Evil Embarassed .

Considering he had me dead to rights for excess of 100, race can, tinted visor, he 'let me off' with just 3 points and £60 fine. He said he would have let me off completely, but he had been sent to follow me by the control centre, and they would follow it up.
