I ride one of the fastest production bikes in the world and guess what.....

It also does 30 mph!

Amazing!!!

And having been stuck behind him, yes it was 30......... Whistle

As i was told when i bought my blackbird, its only as fast as you make it.

Having riden with a few newbies in a group ride, i actually find slower speeds more enjoyable over longer distances rather than BANZAI everywhere.

Each to there own

Thumbs Up

I've felt less worried riding my zx9 at 150mph than a scooter at 50mph, so you never know, might find you don't mind speed when you've got used to a bigger bike Smile.

Didnt really read the post, just wanted to say, i find its a novelty, ive been driving 7 months, and i drive like a feckin loon half the time, not everywhere, just big open roads where i can, i love doing it, it gives me such a rush, i dont do it around schools and built up areas before the milfs of bcf raise there hangbags at me... Just one test. Pass either your car or bike test again and you get both licences back.

All the best

This mentality is just an excuse for speeding simple as. If you want to speed then speed.

When I want to I do it, simple as that.

If however I know I would like to look at that birghtly coloured field whilst riding past and perhaps stop to have a better look, then if it is safe to do so I will stop.

It's purely a matter of choice, those people who speed choose too. I would speed at given opportunities on/in any vehicle i was using to some extent. A larger capacity bike would mean I would go faster purely because I could.

I actually think that buying a larger capcity bike to go faster in a straight line whilst slower round the corners is probably safer that utilising all of the performance of a 400 to go faster around the corners. To me this will merely leave you with less room for error. Which increase your chances of crashing and of death. IMO.
