I'm not suggesting you would carry alot, just enough to get you closer to a petrol station if you ran completely dry. Fair enough you need more if you're out in the wilderness, but I'll be sticking to populated areas most of the time. Besides they're not that bad, 10er each... not much when you think of the total cost of a touring holiday and all the kit required.

yeah fair point, when I first looked at it I thought it was hanging off the back more, like a top box, but actually its more over the rear seat. Still, about the safety thing, the fuel tank in front of you was manufactured to rigorous safety standards, a box of fuel sitting right at the back of the bike, with exposed tubing, isn't quite the same thing. ____________________ "he who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man"- Dr. Johnson
