Hell yer Cool

Can't wait to go down the cruise and sweet up all the ladies they'll be well impressed innit, quicker than a rs125, that only does 120 but is still quicker than an r1. All i need is a new exhaust and air filter an it'll do 150 easy.

Peace Cool

1.4 saxo. It only usually does 105-110 at a push, normally top it out whenever im on the motorway or a dual carriageway and had a look down at the speedo and it was doing that.

Wasn't particulary windy i don't think but i also was just about out of petrol so maybe that contributed. Thumbs Up

Next time i'll video record it. Twisted Evil

Erm, not sure what this means, but I have worked out your 'real' speed based on your indicated speed, presuming that it is out by the same ratio as it is when displaying half that speed (65, as you said earier).

I've got 16" wheels on my laguna (bling! Razz) this has put the speedo out a bit. It reads about 85mph at 80mph, yet reads 29mph at 30mph.
Often speedos get even less accurate the faster you get.

Ah ok, didn't know where the numbers came from wasn't really paying attention.

Only have factory 14's on mine. Embarassed and every wheel has a different make of tyre which makes it interesting to drive in the rain/bad road surface, can slide pretty easily. Cool

That's not bad, for a 1.4. My 1.1 is topping out at about 98. Laughing Though God knows what the real speed is. It also gets the shakes pretty badly at about 75, and then again at top speed.

I got insured today on our pizza vans. 2.0 turbocharged 4WD diesel - yes please. Twisted Evil Skidding the back out at junctions is so easy!

Spoken by someone who has never owned one, obviously.

My H-reg 1l 205 would cruise at an indicated 100 (although it took it a while to get there Laughing and the wind noise was pretty horrendous) and would happily do 85-90 in 3rd for about 35 miles down the M56/M53 because I accidentally did a couple of times when I first had it. Embarassed

Am I the only person thinking about various posts of people doing this and getting busted? Or is that just with videos?

Erm they most certainly do put the limiters into RS6's.

A car magazine once said that it was unlimited and it hit a staggering 210mph on the dyno and on the road it had little left at a GPS verified 185mph. As well as that it kept up with the Ferrari's on test and was said to be the better vehicle of them all.

Which is good info, but you will find that it is sold limited/restricted so if it isnt the previous owner or current owner had the kit removed. Which legally I beleive you need an ACU(dunno if letters are right, its late, a racing licence) licence to have it de-limited with the official Audi kit.

we had it 160 on gps and we were the first owners so it hadnt been de-restricted. journalists claim that they had 175 out of them and then they couldnt getanymore so rumours abou them have been going aroud that they were not restricted in the first place or restricted to 175

Sorry to drag off-topic, but that would imply that you yourself were also speeding, and tailgating if you didn't have enough time to react when they were "slamming there brakes onwith no warning.".

The warning is the brake light.
