You see, we've had it force-fed down our throats to be so nice to people of other races, we've been ordered to treat them as such equals that the word has no meaning any more.

You can't force people to get along. But it's what the labour government has tried to do and all it has done is built up a lot of resentment and pissed off people unable to express how they feel about ethnic groups in their area because it's not politically correct.

I think this persecution of people who cover their faces for religious reasons is intolerable.

Absolutely top thread. The notion I get from many people these days are that these immigrants, as Siggi put it have taken their "welcome too far". Except, they were never really welcome in the first place. I thikn the government are beginning to cotton on to this feeling running around the country now. The Muslim's are lucky that we live in a democracy and not the anarchy many countries existed in back 100 years ago.

I'm not an extremist at any stretch of the imagination, but I would probably support a riot or something just to kick the government into something useful, like stopping immigration, getting Muslims to abide by British law etc.

The thing is, I don't even think this relates to Terrorism, this is simple UK respect and the ability to communicate without feeling intimidated or awkward. I walk down Coventry City Centre and see a woman with just her eyes on view and it makes me feel very weird.

Completely different, please go on trivialising your standpoint further.

Would you be comfortable talking to me if I was wearing a balaclava?

This wouldn't happen anyway, I wouldn't be allowed to walk round in public wearing one, even though it just covers up exactly what a muslim does.

I dont care what happens, if they wanna boil to death on a hot summers day then so be it.
What I hate to see/hear is school kids cant wear hats in school. Yet these people can have what ever they want on there head.
I was disgusted to here, a school near me a bunch of kids wore christianity rings to show no sex before marriage. Were told to take them of or risk being suspended.
So how the fuck can they justify that?

To be honest, I think the fact they wear them is ridiculous. And here's why:

1) OPEN YOUR FUCKING EYES - If there really were gods with 8 arms that mildly resemble an elephant, I'm very sure they never lived, built the universe, or did whatever the fuck ANY religious god is said to have done. It's common sense that there's no god!

2) The reason they wear them is becuase their god says that they shouldn't 'show off' their bodies to anyone except their partner - fucks sake the age we live in is full of people cheating on partners and single parents, join the party!!

3) They all look suspicious!! And because of the stereotypical view of terrorists, we can't trust anybody anymore

(Rant over SmileThumbs Up)

I completely agree with what jack Straw has to say (and am myself a conservative)

Its really very simple, he finds it difficult to communicate with somebody when he cant see their face. Alot of feeling and understanding comes from reading eachothers facial expressions.

I tried an experiement, i went to the butchers and got myself a couple of sheeps eyes, i then selotaped them to a black duvet cover and stood the contraption on a 5 foot coat stand. I have to say, i found it impossible to communicate with my creation.

I think what i`m trying to say is, all over our country are hat stands with eyes, and i think they need to understand that the average person in the street is not going to approach them, or have any dialogue with them, due to the fact that we dont understand them, and never will because all we can see is their eyes.

I am SICK AND TIRED of having to apologise for my views because they are deemed wrong by the Muslim Council Of Great Britain. I am FUCKED OFF with the phenomenon of catering to the MINORITY, and flying in the face of common sense, or any form of moderation!

This country is traditionally a CHRISTIAN country. Now that doesnt meen we shouldnt be accepting of other cultures (of course not) BUT if they want to come here and INTEGRATE into our society they need to understand that COMPROMISE is part of the deal, and that some customs of theirs are equally as abhorrent to us, as some of ours are to them. So if a man in out country wants to say that he find it hard to communicate with someone who is dressed as a DUVET then thats his right. After all, thats what democracy is about. Unfortunately, i`m not so sure our kids will have a clue about democracy.

Fuck right off with that shit, daisy. Christianity was brought here by the Romans; this country is traditionally PAGAN.
I know I'm being pedantic, but I find christianity to be as abhorrent as islam, so the fact that you're bringing your own religion into things makes me a bit uneasy, and makes you look just as bad as them.

As far as I see, you won't get a ban on the burqa unless you elect the BNP or a similar hard-line fringe party, and unfortunately their hard-line policies extend beyond just 'lifting the veil', so to speak.
Think we should take a leaf out of the French book* and stop serving all people whose faces are covered. However, I know who the first to complain would be..Thinking

Fuck off with that pedantic shit, flower . I`m actually an athiest. My point was and still is, Why, in a country that is traditionally Christian should people have to supress their own cultures and religious celebration to appease the minority. Why are we so paranoid about offending the minority, that we have to punish the majority. Why are Christmas lights being renamed 'Winter Lights', why are advent calenders banned from council offices? Why are a quarter of schools no longer showing nativity plays, and banning carol singing?

Has anyone got anything to say about Ramadan? Are the lights going to go up this year as they do every year, yes. Do i care, no its their right to celebrate whatever the hell they want without the intervention of Political Correctness.

I agree with you that Christianity is as abhorrent as any other form of control, BUT its more familiar to me and holds more meaning to me than Islam, and has been here for alot longer.

It just seems that its politically incorrect to be a Christian.

I think Siggi probably said what i`m trying to say alot better than me, and i`m also tired as hell lol so im going to bed

night.

Ooh yeah lets all start being pagan, then we can cast spells and magic the muslims away, that makes perfectly logical sense.

The term 'paganism' has nothing to do with 'magic' - it simply refers to the practice of following a polytheistic religion. Rolling Eyes

So who else in this thread is being PM'd by another certain member, who I have never even spoken to or insulted before, but who is alleging to be seeking out the racists on this forum and planning to "do something" about it?

Cos I know I am.

I rarely get unsolicited PM's, but this one is more or less accusing me not only of being racist, but also insinuating that jews are racist.
