The 30mph roads in the small town where I live are all now 20mph which is bloody ridiculous. Supposedly 55% of respondents to the council’s survey approved but there was never any doubt the council would go ahead anyway. I expect widespread civil disobedience and a backlash when people ignore the costly new signs and are getting done for 23mph.

Yeah, it didn’t do you any harm, did it. Very Happy
You just don’t see kids playing in the street like we used to do.

I recently went along a route I'd not ridden for decades, it used to be a mix of 30 through villages and 60 inbetween ... it is now 20 through villages, with a large amount of the inbetween cut to 30-40 ... what used to be a fantastic route to ride is now a tedious slog from point A to B.

It'll not be long before you need someone walking in front of you with a red flag, just in case the mongs walking about with faces in phones step out in front of a vehicle!

Lawrence is back at the vet for a heart scan today.
So, as he had done a poo in the cat-box last week when I initially took him, I made sure this time I let him out early for a poo so he didn't take a dump in the cat-box this time.

But no.

I’m amazed how many people just stride out into the street to get into their parked vehicle without even looking or waiting. It’s just assumed that approaching cars will have to wait.

Yes, this was brutal and uncaring but like I said, you’ve got to look before you cross.

Typical of people today, walk out into the road without looking and are then surprised when they get hit.

And as for telling people to have second thoughts about buying their kids a bike for Christmas, how about telling people to be more fucking careful when crossing the road, STOP, LOOK, LISTEN, how fucking hard is it you fucking moron!

If you want uncaring, you came to the right person Laughing

And so say all of us.

(A bit callous to leave the guy slumped in the road though)

The guy did look in the direction that traffic would be expected to be coming from. How was he to know that some twat would be silently whizzing the wrong way along a one way street and without lights?

He didn't STOP, LOOK, LISTEN!

How was he expected to know someone would come from the other direction, that's just it he wasn't to know, that's why it was drummed into us older gits as kids to look both ways ... he just gave a cursory glance in one direction as he was already walking out into the road.
