We'll do Day of Champions again i think but we don't live far away. IOM TT is well worth it but it's getting popular now. If you want ferry tickets and accomodation for 2026 you need to book it almost immediately after the 2025TT.

Hotels are a nightmare to get, homestay is worth it - campsites are a no for me, the IOM is notorious for shite weather.

Booked 3 days at MotoGP Silverstone beginning of August. Hopefully good weather.

I'm usually a hotel type of arsehole but they do pre-pitched tents at Silverstone. £249 for 3 days is not bad for two of us in 2 man tent.. £115 for 3 days is not too much for the tickets either. Fuel from Edinburgh is what it is. Although tempted to upgrade from General admission. Not sure where's best. I fancy being in the main grandstand.

Should be a good party in the evening. The Kooks are playing and I'm going to invest in a portable fridge. There is power on site.

Anyway very excited. I don't get away overnight very often.

Anyone recommend viewing areas? I was thinking Stowe corner.

So since Scotland got put out I've been routing for Engerland. Watching the final, too much stress. So I have turned the TV off after Spain scored. I will check the result in 45 mins.

I doubt it will be coming home hope I'm wrong.

Not to worry have bike.

On another note my mate ith a Tiger 1200 decided that doing an offroad course was a good idea. Bent handlebars and a sore leg later he came to the conclusion that a tarted up attempt at an adventure bike doesn't hit the mark offroad. Would be better with a CRF I said. He now agrees. Laughing

EDIT, Shame for England. Gareth has had his turn. Need a boss with a more attacking philosophy.

Why ,in general, do bikers not give a monkeys about football?

Great weekend at Silverstone, first time at motoGP. Great that Jake Dixon won the moto2. Pity we don't have any riders in motoGP. Spent more money than I can afford.

It was a great weekend until the car engine blew on the way home lol. Had to get a taxi from Weatherby to East Lothian, thankfully I wasn't paying for it.

I will likely go to the Formula 1 next year. That would be a good weekend.

It had just been serviced before I went. Weird the engine failing like that. No idea what's up but pools of oil under the car makes it not look good.

Not to worry have motorbike

Shameless plug.

Honda CBR 600 F2
1 year MOT.
Reg. K282KNU if you want to check MOT history.
New battery
Complete fuel system checked, carbs cleaned, fuel system flushed. New Inlet manifold rubbers, Vacuum pipe and fuel filter. Fluids checked.
It is in good condition, not mint. No dents on the tank, no broken fairings.
Bad things, wheels could do with being refurbed, they look like been kerbed somehow, and some of the fittings could use a wirebrush and a clean. Not much wrong with it really.

£1650

I know I'm not normal but can't help myself. Going to sell my Rebel 500 as well as the cbr 600. Had it nearly a year, a long time for me. I like the bike but is very unstable at slow speeds in traffic, pain in the arse putting my feet down at 3mph. Very underpowered really. Scrape the pegs too much which gives me the shits, it's got a brown seat and it's basically an A2 first big bike kind of bike. I bought it because I liked the look of it at the time. Now not so much

2023, 1200 miles only, very small dent in tank when it literally blew over, fuck not happy. But it is what it is.

Fairly priced at £4100. Due to fucking dent in tank and the need to immediately cut down my monthly outgoings.

Another shameless plug

Laughing

Still in love with the Street Triple though. Excited about getting it dusted and out of the garage.

It'll be weird only having only one bike. At least I'm not so stressed due to 6 bikes not getting used and feeling bad for not riding them.

Honda Rebel RIP

Not yet it's been sitting in the garage for quite a while. I'll get it serviced and sorted. From what I can gather the stator or rectifier could be faulty. Will get my trusted mechanic to fix it. Took me years to find a proper mechanic. Stinkwheel was too busy.

Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but it can only change form.

So what happens when someone gets cremated. Does the body's dead mass energy turn into heat energy?

What about the charcoals that are left, well they must be energy as well?

So when a person dies where does the energy go from the electro-chemical body's brain and nervous system.

I find it hard to get my head round conservation of energy. Basically everything is a form of energy.

What happens with conservation of energy when I can't be arsed getting out of bed in the morning?

Wish folk would agree to a face chat so I can show them my bikes live. Why don't people tend to do this. Just my experience.

Actually loving live with no female. Won't be doing that again ever. Too selfish and really can't be bothered with that.

Motogp riders wear Alpinestars Tech Air airbag. Doesn't seem to bother them one jott whether they crash or not. So seems to work.

Well that's the Rebel sold, glad to see it go. I didn't really like it. Prefer sports type bikes.

Very strange but the guy gave me £50 more than I asked for. Oh well thanks sir.

Just the CBR600 to go then I'll be left with just the Striple. First time in 10 years I'll have had only had one bike. It's a relief as it was stressing me out with bikes in the garage not getting used.

None of you guys looking for a CBR 600 F2? Laughing

And completely off topic I have now stopped smoking for a week, longest ever. Determined this time. Fed up of coughing my guts up every morning. It's anti-social, costs a fortune. Saving £15.50 a day Shocked

Yep think of the bike I could get for £400 a month. Smoking is such a waste.

Give myself a hard slap. No more bikes.

It actually is enlightening to not smoke after 40 years. Hope I can keep it up so far so good. 'One day at a time sweet Jesus it's all I'm asking from you' Laughing

I'm procratinating over this diagnostice on the Street Triple. The more procrastination I get the less likely I am to do something. And start procrastinating about procrastination.

So far I've got the bike out of the Farage, Some non sensicle mucking about with the multimeter. Much prefer a meggar where you can electricute your pal/work mate. Anyway figured out the multimeter for the task at hand.

My garage consits of a smallish council lockup, You could get a small car in but no way you could open the car doorswhich I have to pay £52 per month for. fuckers. It's situated about a mile or so from the house.

It's been sitting in the Farage for about a year and a half. Needed a new battery, old one, that actually wasn't that old, fails to hold any charge.

I got hold of a Haynes manual. I prefer to read from paper.

So I'm going to start on Monday with diagnostics Laughing I will get this fixed.

I'll test all electrics when bike is starting as it should. Check Continuity through all the respective relays as and when they should be triggered on ignition on. and all else that is connected to the starting system, Kick Stand, Isolator switch, Gear position sensor - Ill test the inlet and outlet of the rectifier. switch between ac and dc.

Then carry my multimeter in my rucksack and when the twat fails to start I'll repeat the tests again. Hopefully not in the middle of Princess Street. If both tests show power to the starter, then it's a starter problem. I would think a starter motor failure would be terminal and not just intermittent?

The main problem I'll have is finding all the components. Never worked on a motorbike before even to the point that I've never changed my own oil. Rolling Eyes

I will survive! Mr. Green

Didn't these have issues with the wiring around the headstock deteriorating. Also IIRC there were problems with the insulation of the wiring peeling back and exposing bare wire at connection blocks.

I'd be taking a careful look for physical damage first and see if it's something 'simple'.

Yes mate will do.

Only managed 14 days of the cigs, cracked today and have had 3. I bit pissed off with myself. I'll try again tomorrow. Confused
