If you think that saddam doesnt have weapons of mass destruction then you are very much mistaken. With the number of ex-russian nukes floating around he probably has several. The unly reason that he hasnt used them is beacause he knows it would be suicide for his country.

As for the yanks saving us - bollocks. If it wasnt for Hitlers stupidity then we would of been out of the war in mid-late '40. What would the yanks of done?? Feck all. They would of made a peace agreement with the nazis and left us to it.

But as I said - that has nothing to do with my point. My point is that invading iraq is the wrong thing to do and we should not be supporting it. Did the yanks support us when we went into egypt for the suez canal? Did they bollocks, they decided that it was the wrong thing to do and they bollocked us for it.

I agree that saddam needs to be removed, but it needs to be done from the inside, not by us. The more we interfere the more the arab world is going to hate us. The more they hate us the more terrorist attacks are going to occur. And it will only be a matter of time before one of these groups gets and uses a nuke.

I completely agree with the point about the asylum seekers. Fuck em off to where they came from. Or france cuz theyve been doing it to us for long enough.

My father, two uncles and brother - army lads. My other brother RAF. My friends brother currently working logistics for SAS in Afghanistan.

ALL of them say no one fights like British - ok they are biased BUT they also see their canteen tents in the desert which are basic and then the Yanks walk over to a coke machine cos they don't like to drink fucking water. The Americans are NOT trained as well as the british forces. They win wars but sending as much cannon fodder in as possible so the end up with more men alive purely by working the numbers.

I have GREAT respect for anyone who offers their time, effort and ultimately their lives for their country but NO ONE can tell me i'm a coward. NO ONE. I was in the Warrington IRA bomb and the Manchester one. I've been there and seen it - that IS war - and what is being done? NOTHING.

I chose not to jopin the forces because it wasn't my thing - doesn't make me a coward - just someone who knows what they want.

Other wise how would racists get prosecuted? but they europe goes on about our human rights so i cant see how the 2 match... oh well

Tom. TA. The TA haven't been called up for active fron-line duty for a good couple of years now. I was in the Sheffield TA for around 8 months and it bored me shitless. Def more armchair commando's playin with guns and talkin about 'when' they go to war. they teach you fuckall about war, about fighting and like fuck they show you intel reports.

Oh here we go again i was under the impression this post was closed...

Seeing as your not big enough to give out your name when you make comments like that im not even going to bother arguing with you.

Ill explain my last post, Tom said he was in the TA he reckons he is being flown out to Afghanistan which is complete crap because the TA would not be sent to fight there.

Oh and could you prove that some people think they know more than they do, because youve shown *no* evidence to back it up, and as for being thinkers and do-ers some people may think the army or pretend army (TA) is not for them, just because they choose not to join the armed forces doesnt mean they cannot discuss things such as this.

Get a life and stop trying to wind people up!

i think saddam is a scape goat for not being able to find bin laden because no one has even seen him. my best bet at finding him would be at lunar house in croydon queing up with all the other asylum seekers

The l98 is actually the name given by SOME forces to the SA80 - it's actually the same rifle. The new works have supposedly made it more reliable but the marines proved that to be untrue in Afghanistan.

The engineers blamed it on them not cleaning them correctly but it's the marines - i don't really think that is the case.

The only REAL issue with the first release was that is was made too well. Each part being engineered with the slightest of gaps for movement but it was found that this meant and sand or grit getting in was a MAJOR problem.

Q What has been modified?
A The list includes:

1. Breech block,
2. Breech bolt,
3. Cartridge extractor,
4. Cartridge ejector,
5. Recoil springs,
6. Extractor spring,
7. Firing pin,
8. Cocking handle,
9. Magazine (the whole magazine has been replaced),
10. Gas plug and cylinder,
11. Hammer,
12. Barrel extension
13. Barrel (LSW only).

Tom DITO I'm curently in the forces RAF I@ve been on exercise with you bunch of cowboys, the only reason that the TA is kept on is patritisim and a throw back to WW2! You're badly disiplined toy soldiers who see the TA as a bit of extra money and a chance to shoot poxy rifiles!

I spent an afternoon waiting for you lot to turn up (4 hours late ) Wasted an afternoon I could have spent round a swimming pool drinking Malibu and Coke by the pint!
I wouldn't trust you lot to fetch a bag of chips let alone fight dedicated terrorist organisations!!
