M7??, strange you don't see them that often on a bike apart from the cam cover bolts and bits on the oil cooled Suzukis, can't say I've ever seen them as studs. You're right though those extractors won't do an M7 they are the regular M6,8,10 and 12 and won't grip M7.

Hi,
there not as expensive as you might think....
i looked in homebase the other week & the piranha (black & decker?) set of hss bits was over 25 quid.
i bought a set of cobalts for around 20 quid.
best bits i have ever used. broke a couple of the small ones (1,1.5mm) being heavy handed, but the others are still going strong nearly 2yrs later, & i use them almost daily.
found the de-walt ones excellent quality, & worth buying singly off interweb.

Just a quick update in case anyone else comes across this thread - I got the studs out no problem. Had been dousing the studs with penetrating oil every day for for a week. I got them out no problems with a Sealey VS7232 Thumbs Up it's a good design and grips really tight.
