Looks like I may not be coming this year now Sad

Need rid of the bike and cant really warrant putting on the extra miles with the 300 ish mile round trip we usually do, would like to be able to sell it still with some rubber on its shoes.

Dont seem to be registering much interest with the bike on gaybay even with 12 watchers nobody has asked to come view. Have reduced the price in a hope to sell

£1300 to BCF members, maybe a tad less if a fast sale, see my add in for sale section.

I might be working now. It's a good rate of pay, I'd be daft not to take it if offered. Plus the weather forecast looks stinkingly horrible...not just rain, but heavy rain!!! Thumbs Down

I'm starting to feel unloved and abandoned!

But then I dont blame anyone for not going. It looks like its going to be a stinker for the day. Latest according to the BBC is thunder storms on the day. Crying or Very sad

If it wasnt for the nephew coming over especially for the event I'd consider cancelling it myself. But rain wont kill us.

Getting mixed messages on the weather, radio says it's going to be a nice day, online says it's going to be very wet.

Come on clear it all up!

I dont care if its cloudy and cold. I dont even care if theres the odd shower. But the online forecasts vary from Heavy rain to Thunder storms. Neither seem appealing and its just typical pinkys luck.

Last year it was gloriously sunny and hot. Year before mrs pinky and myself went for the day without realising it was the speed trials (day before burn up) and it was glorious. This year I'm bringing my nephew over from Belfast who's 15, bike mad and only over saturday, sunday and back monday and its going to be a miserable weekend!

"Whats it like uncle pinky?"

"Well Ryan, its like the big one they do in Carrickfurgus every year that has 1500 bikes only 10 times bigger."

Now it will be.

"Well it was supposed to be 10 times bigger but the fair weather riders will stay away so there'll be about 5 of us die hards on the sea front bored shitless!"

Ahh well.

I should still be able to make it, though my brake's need sorting beforehand Confused

When I say "sorting" I mean I need to change the pads, but can't be arsed as I have to take the whole caliper off, and not to mention every time I try anything with my bike I ended up breaking something else Crying or Very sad

If you guys decide on a meeting point in Brighton, then can one of ya PM me to lemme know ta! Wink

Yup I'll be there.

I've been stuck in New York in $hitty hot weather without the bike all week, so I could do with a blast in the wet come sunday.

I'm at the top end of the m23 and usually meet up at Pease Pottage services with a few others. I'll be taking my 450 quid ebay top bargain triumph.

Weather report was looking pretty good this morning.

IRC everyone leaves the Ace at 10:00. Whats the earliest you can get to the H for?

Also do we have a 'meet and greet' spot at the Ace for BCF? Even if we might not ride down to Brighton together.

Redoko. If I remember, last year everyone met outside the ACE under some bridge. I left from Pompey last year so not sure where this bridge is. Someone who went last year can probably clarify this.

Under the railway bridge, everybody waited on the road not the footpath.

I definitely wont be going now, the DVLA decided to revoke my licence, joy!

I was thinking about taking a ride to Brighton tomorrow before I saw this thread. I'd be up for coming to this but I guess I'd be going straight there as I live near Epsom.

Also, I don't know anyone else going, is there a general meet up in Brighton for BCF'ers so I can at least meet and say high rather than being on my Jack Jones?

Cant miss me. Got long purple hair and as lardy as a lardy thing.

According to the forecast its going to clear up and be an ok day.

Quote:

Sunday

A very breezy day. Some sunny spells, but also with showers. The showers are likely to be mainly near the south coast at first, becoming more widespread by the afternoon.
