JeffyJeff has a compelling point. I had the bike mostly at 10-12k revs.

Straight line speed bores me. I like acceleration, overtaking (not undertaking) and cornering. 300 is fun for cornering and only accelerates well to 44mph before needing more time to get past 50 and onto 60. For me pulling power from rolling speeds of 50+ is important. But then that’s why I feel I may have gone wrong with a 300 when any 600R would do it.

I could do the down/up sprocket mod.

Still, having options is a good problem.

Agreed. Tampering sprockets for tad gain in torque isnt worth the loss in top speed.

Learning the bike and gears is a good resolve. I’ll spend as much time as worthwhile learning and enjoying the bike. London riding was fun today and that’s why I bought it - to beat choc-a-bloc traffuck and have fun in the process.
