How about you get a job in the public sector and do something about it then?

We could save a load of money just by repelling the invasion.

Inheritance just means money gets concentrated with the wealthy. I have no issues with inheritance or capital gains tax.

People are just playthings of the State. Their lives (and the fruits of their labour) are not their own.

Would you not prefer for your estate to go to your children in full rather than for the taxman to take a chunk?

Pretty sure my estate will not be sufficient to incur tax.

That will be the case if house prices don't go up and the threshold for inheritance tax doesn't go down.

So, would you not prefer for your estate to go to your children in full rather than for the taxman to take a chunk?

Id prefer that wealthy landowners dont get exempted from it any more.

Only about 4% of estates actually get taxed.

For the third time: would you not prefer for your estate to go to your children in full rather than for the taxman to take a chunk?

yes I would. However, I acknowledge that public sservices cost money and if I want my kids to have a national service for the rest of their lives then it has to be paid for somehow. If it means they lose a proportion of their inheritance, so be it.

Presuming by that comment you're swapping paying tax with no public services?

You will be very unhappy when the ambulance will not pick you up bbecausse you haven't paid private health insurance.

Amazing how your smugness shines clearly through even plain text over the Interwebs...

...unless I mistake you and actually you're so naïve you believe ambulances still turn up when you request them Rolling Eyes

A pair of paramedics turned up quite smartish when we thought the little bastard had potential appendicitis a couple of years ago.

That'll be because they arranged for him to go straight into a ward, bypassing the huge delay caused by A&E.

The fact he was admitted straight onto a ward is irrelevant when discussing ambulance response times.

The paramedics who turned up didn't have an ambulance because it was a Rapid Response Vehicles that attended your house.

He wasn't taken to hospital in an ambulance.

I'm just saying pick some other example for your Statist propaganda. Not a service that can leave an OAP in agony for hours with a broken hip, lying in a pool of their own piss because their condition "isn't life threatening."

If I remember it wasn't the nasty lefties that fucked up the NHS. When the nasty lefties were last in power i seem to remember waiting lists going right down.

IIRC there was a time when the State was intended to serve its people and not the other way round. I think some fella lost his head over it...

...ironic given we're now ruled by a headless tyrant.
