Any evidence this has actually happened? I doubt they will be able to manage it. Lots of talk, but when it comes to action Ireland has plenty of people prepared to support and stand with immigrants of any ilk.

Should probably stop the medium sized ones and the mini ones too. Otherwise they will all just use a different sized boat. Not a solid policy that.

It would seem that The Abbottpotamus won't be allowed to stand as a Labour Candidate in the forthcoming election:-

Diana Abbott considered too thick, stupid, racialist and anti-semitic...Even for Labour!

There is no Tory cuntidate where I live. So I'm oot.

I'm not supporting Tory but I am certainly not adding fire wood to the Special Needs Party, The Labour Lackeys, The Green Team or The Commies. (Who The Feck is supporting Communism in the 21st Century?)

BBC News still have Abbott as their primary news story. I don't recall her ever doing or saying anything significant or insightful or am I just being mean Thinking

So not content with being a racist, she's a liar as well - saying she's been banned ... which is now being denied by Labour party grandees Laughing

She actually has done quite a lot of well-meaning stuff in her early career (as per the link provided by Ste) but she managed to fuck up all the "good work" she had done by being consistently arrogant about how black people were the only ones who suffered.

Which is unfortunate, as having spent a lot of time buttering her own toast she's now dropped it onto the floor, and the far right are sending in the dogs of hell to keep her where they think she belongs.

She must have annoyed a fair few people on her way up the ladder Rolling Eyes

They'll probably string her along until it's a done deal and they've secured a replacement

I've seen some polls that show the Tories reduced to 30 ~ 100 seats. We still have some work ahead of us to get that down to zero Smile

I was thinking on Mr. Stinkwheel's wish for a hung parliament - 5 years of nothing getting done does sound nice - but we're looking at a resounding default victory for Labour. I know it's fashionable to howl at the ensuing madness but really? The Tories could have done almost anything in the last decade and the only time they (Truss & co) went off script the BoE jettisoned the offending people straight away.

I suspect Labour will be much the same. Nothing extreme will happen because elected MPs aren't really in charge of anything any more Thinking

Putting aside my personal dislike of Ms. Abbott for a moment I have to ask how someone can come out of uni, get a seat as an MP (with the pretty good wages and unlimited expense account they seem to have), stay there for the whole working life and really have a scoobie about how the great unwashed live. Of course the same goes for millionaires and CEO's of huge buisnesses on multi million wage packets.

Maybe it ought to be a requirement of being an MP you have to have worked on a shop floor or in a general type job, nurse, teacher or the like and live within those means before you get to be an MP. Bit like national service eh Richi?

Of course it's neve going to happen.

Moving on to more important issues...

Labour, Tories and Libtards are all saying they definitely won't be putting up VAT.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cv22pe8x89no

What an odd thing to say.

In war the Old Way was to salt the earth before retreating, in modern times it was laying mines in the fields. Whatever it is the Tories are doing is the exact opposite: not only going all out on losing the election but also smoothing the way for Labour as much as possible Thinking

A lot of MPs aren't even bothering (https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-9808/). Much has been made of Gove going but looking at the list the majority of stand down announcements were prior to the election being called. Makes you wonder what's coming.

The tories have/are making a mess of things.

If the hopeless whankers/whankerettes of Laibor get into No. 10 we're phuqued.

That Shouty/Gobby Angie Rayner having any position in government is unthinkable.

I don't think any of them are really happy about winning at the moment. Of course they all say they are but whoever gets in has fcuk all wriggle room. Labour have already told the junior doctors that their 30% pay demand is pie in the sky if they get in.

The problem for Labour is most of their supporters are expecting big things of them and it just isn't going to happen with Labour seemingly even more financial savvy than the Tories at the moment. Which bit of 'there is no money' is so hard to understand.

That's what worries me about Labour. Not so much Starmer and his lot getting in, but when it goes to ratshit, which it will, the (very) left kicking him out and taking over as they will spend, tax, spend, borrow, spend etc. etc.

Actually, the ones with absolutly no financial nous are the LibDems. They'll promise anything and everything but then as they have no chance getting in in any numbers I suppose it doesn't really matter.

If the Tories really want to Screw Labour, they should give the junior doctors that 35% pay rise they've been after
