I would love to see you stop at 60 when some 1 slams there handbrake on without anywarning to you. Also pulling into another road making the back end come out.

I like to think I'd be a few seconds back, thinking "What the fuck is that guy doing, I'll ease off the throttle and see if he makes that turn."

HerbalDayZ, so let me get this right. You're doing 60ish on a single lane road (?), as a new rider, tailgating someone you already think is speeding. Then they realise they've missed their turning and do a handbrake turn in order to make it, meaning you crash into the back of them?

I'm not taking the piss, it just seems like none of the facts from your story make a lot of sense when all put together. If all of the above is true, then I hope you've learned from it. Whether you can assign blame to someone else is irrelevant, you had the potential to avoid that accident. Don't have "It was my right of way" put on your headstone. I think Rookie had it spot on with saying that the 2 second rule is way more important for bikers.

Shit myself on trains cus well we not what there like.

Have travelled on trains for several years and have yet to see an accident.

Other than all that, I agree wholeheartedly with your opinions on markcatwat's l33t driving skillz. If it's any consolation, I always assume Darwinism will do it's job eventually.

(btw cheers Davo for markcatwat, I used to think of his old username as TWAT3M). Laughing

I was hardly distracted, got my phone from the centre console, pressed a button on it without looking took two photos with the phone faced at the clocks (eyes still on the road) then put it back. The other picture is blurry, took two to be on the safe side.

Hardly dangerous, 130 isn't that bad in a straight line and plus how often does everyone drive with both hands on the steering wheel??

You WERE distracted.
You were not giving 100% of your attention to your driving, at those speeds thats the minimum attention that is required (well at any speed really but especially higher speeds).

130 may not be too bad on a closed road/track, but on a public highway its just silly, so many possible things to happen, even when you are paying full attention.

And your comment is just absurd about people driving with two hands on the wheel.
Of course people drive with one hand on the wheel, but at 130mph, I don't think so (well only very foolish people).
I have done advanced driver training and I can guarentee you are not in full safe control at 130mph if you only have one hand on the wheel (and probably even if you had two on the wheel)

As people have said its a real probably 110 at the very most. It was a clear dual carriage way that was just a straight line, if i die its my fault but i hardly stick to 70 anyway, it feels like walking pace.

Im not the only person in the world that speeds so get over it, maybe taking a picture was a bit silly so i won't do it again but it felt safe at the time. Thumbs Up

I never said driving above the speeds limit was necessarily dangerous, but that photographing it was.
Glad you have possibly seen your mistake.

Broke down again today. Embarassed

There is a big mud car park by my house and i went down there after i had been back to the docs, did a couple of handies and j-turns, no other cars there and the place is massive. Anyway left the place and half a mile down the road my car cuts out, have a look and the fuel pumps fucked. Laughing

Must have hit something, its in a pretty shit place so looks like it can be damaged easily, anyway couldn't really stop the leak but managed to get fuel into the car so it would drive, lost about half a tank but its fixed now. Embarassed

Got a muddy car too. Very Happy
