I like debating with you, and yes I see your point about catch 22 and would agree if only communication was hindered. I honestly can't rationalise the link between veil wearing and lack of communication.

What doesn't help is the media coverage of such an event, where post 'revelation' communication between parties is immediately strained. This isn't helped when the BBC runs headlines like "Straw demands veil removal" etc, which will immediately get British Muslim's backs up. This is where media types have a lot to answer for IMO. If this story wasn't reported as such (designed to create a reaction) then I doubt anyone would still be going on about it..

Come on, I want to see some examples of Muslims demanding special treatment like you say. And I don't mean just a bloody veil which I frankly could'nt give a shit about. Come on, give me some really good examples, the ones that get you really fucking foaming at the mouth, dribbling with a crazed look in your eyes like some doberman straining at the leash.

I'm willing to bet that these soundbites that you hear on the news, like "Muslims force Tescos to rename" bollocks are either fabricated or given substance by the PC brigade who often aren't even bloody Muslims themselves but claim to 'represent' them.

I have to agree with Kris in all this.

These people are British muslims. This means they satisfy the requirements to hold a British passport, and it also means they are muslims. Not an us and them situation, unless you choose to make it so.

And I've said this numerous times now, but the forum retards such as killa and the BWFC kid with no testicles always choose to ignore it. Immigration is not the problem. Dole scum are a much, much bigger problem, but some people choose to pretend they're ok, because they're white.

As an example of a demand I live in Brick Lane E2. The area has been a centre for immigrants for the last 400 or so years starting with the hugeunots. The only culture to have wanted a name change is the muslim community who wish to change the name of the area to either 'Little Sylhet' or 'Bangla Town'.

Lets not forget intentionally leaving jobs and homes, coming to the UK and claiming to be homeless so as to beat the waiting list on the housing wait and gain benefits but this was stopped around 17 years ago. This tended to happen more where I live as we are so close to Heathrow.

My objection to the veil is that it makes women into victims. The idea being that they will tempt men with their looks harks back to the original sin in the bible and the fall of man. So thousands of years after this idea is set which is probably an allegory anyway the suggestion is that women are still seccubi trying to tempt men and the poor men cannot control themselves.

So instead of handcuffing the odd man who can't control themselves to the wall and shooting them someone decided that ALL women should be hidden behind veils. Well thats bollocks isn't it.

Have to say that I share Siggi's views on this.

I'm all for integration, equality and all that stuff. I've got no problem with it at all.

But what a lot of people seem to miss is that it has to work both ways.

You want to come live in our country? Of course, you're welcome to.
What's that? Don't feel like you want to work? Well... alright then, we'll give you some money to keep you fed.
You want to keep your faces covered even though it's considered rude and threatening in our culture? Umm... we guess you could do that...
You want to live in your own ghetto and converse only with people of the same backgrounds? Come on now, you're getting my gander up.
You want to openly preach hatred about the western world, yet if anyone says anything about your culture riots spread across Europe, burning down buildings and such (I point you to the recent Mohammed comic drawings in Europe).


Basically all I am saying is if you want to live here that's fine as far as I am concerned but the least you could do is adapt to how we live. If you want to cover your face, fine, do it in your own house.

They day I see a muslim come into my local pub dressed like someone I feel like I can talk to, is the day that I would buy them a drink.
