Sick I visited a friend yesterday, and her kid came home from school feeling sick. I woke up today and I do too. I went for a wander into town to get some bread, thinking the fresh air would make me feel better...but I dont...

I dont know what to do to make myself feel better.... Sad

Whenever I felt sick as a kid my Mum would give me a ginger biscuit, ginger tea ect. That always helped. Other than that, just try doing things to take your mind off it, watch a film or something you can enjoy without moving around too much, and try drinking some water.

If you've caught a sick bug, there's not really much you can do expect try to ease it as best you can. Hope you feel better soon!

I cured it by eating loads of bisodol, eating toast and marmite, and drinking some Dr Pepper. Then I went out to a party and got drunk. So now I have a bad tummy but brought on my drinking too much brandy last night!!!

Now Im sticking to a mainly fluid diet until later!

Pepto Bismol good stuff...
Bright pink medicine and tastes like rugby players legs... mmMMmmm Wink
Alternatively they've got tablets as well as the medicine... minty taste but just as good for settling dodgy tummys!

You might be poo'ing black for a couple o days after but ho hum.. lesser of two evils! Laughing

Eating lime is supposed to make you feel better.

When I had a stomach ache and was puking all over the place, I was given half a lime to eat. I ate it and felt better.

Maybe it helps to neutralize the contents of the stomach.

No Tut Tut

The pH (level of acid) in the stomach is less than 3 ie very, lime / lemon and other citrus fruit are also very acidic. Antacids like milk of magnesia and Peptobismol type stuff is alkali (ie not acid) and this neutralises the acid increasing the pH and reducing the discomfort to the gastric linning.

Ginger settles a dodgy stomach as does flat lemonade, dry toast and Jacobs crakers.

Which is why "Helen's Witchy Brew" is the best cure-all.

Arrow 1/2 pint lemonade,
Arrow tbsp of honey,
Arrow some freshly grated ginger,
Arrow and a slurp of brandy.

Heat the lot up in the microwave, and pour yourself a glass.

Then empty stomach contents down the toilet Sick

Its funny how the 'hang over' remedies have the most strangest concoction of ingreduents. Whats the deal with the raw egg anyways?
