does anyone know how to identify if an nsr is an import or not when the dealer has tryed to make it look UK by changing the clocks.
my dealer says that nsr's are a bitch to derestrict but the guide looks stright forword, this make me think that the bike is an import!
also how come in all the magazines and internet sites i have seen the mito and RS have a bhp of around 31 whereas the nsr has a bhp of about 12. why do they show the mito's and RS's derestricted potentiol but not the NSR's Evil or Very Mad Crying or Very sad

The magazines arnt clever enough to derestrict them themselves, and honda doesnt go around telling everyone how to derestric them. Mine had ittalian warning stickers on the tank. It should say on the V5, ask to see that. They have an obligation to tell u if u ask.

Its the engine configuration for the new hon............ Laughing Its actually the piece of paper that states that the bike is theirs, but it has loads of other information like what colour it is and if it was imported. It will say if it is. Its unlikely theyd change the clocks as it would cost bout £400, theyll usually put plastic overlays with the mph on.

import nsr would be extremely tricky to derestrict, uk bike on the other hand took 1 hour 45 mins total for exhaust drilling and restrictor plate removal, at the moment ive managed to hit 105 on it.... bloody scary on my 2001 rg unfaired nsr!

I just had a look at my v5, and it says the "taxation class" is "bicycle" Razz
...just thought I'd share that with everyone...

...magazines etc...don't give the NSR125 much respect 'cos it's not a pure-bred Japanese Honda or race-rep... Evil or Very Mad ...the "bike" guide shows that they haven't tested the NSR since 1995...

Hi

The registration document is only likely to say if it is an import if the bike was imported 2nd hand. If it was imported new then UK registered then there should be nothing obvious on the document to let you know (although Honda can probably tell from the chassis number)

All the best
