Seen as how Wales is only about 200 miles long at most, I think you could ride every road in the country in 7 days! Smile

Why not expand the trip? 7 days is a long time, you could easy make it up to the lake district as well, there's some great roads around there.

hmm i did a tour of wales in july for 7 days, i must say that i didn,t think to much of the place in general...

although to be fair snodonia nat park and surrounding area is fantastic great food and superb roads, but if you leave this area i found it boring. (sorry welsh people ) this is just my opinion!!

i was based around betws-y-coed and this is an exellent little village but the campsites don't like bikes. we had to camp 3 miles away at capel curig which was ok but not brilliant..

we covered all the north and west down to st davids head as we came down the coast road most of the way we may have missed a few great roads but i doubt it. anyway we aborted and came back a day early as we tried to find good roads in the central area to no avail.

but hopefully a good few people will tell you which roads to head for and you can plan around them, i would reccomend any roads in snodonia park especially the road up the mountain Mr. Green .

have fun and find some great roads dude Thumbs Up Very Happy

A44 from Worcester to Aberystwyth is great, also A470 from Merthyr all the way up to Snowdonia. The A483 from Llandovery to Welshpool, particularly the stretch from Crossgates (where it crosses the A44) up to Newton is stunning but unfortunately also a fairly popular place to kill yourself! The A40 is also good & there's quite a few good B roads around too, B4521 to Abergavenny is worth a go.

As pointed out before Wales is quite small so you may be better staying in the middle & doing day trips or a 2 centre stay north & south.

I can only speak for South Wales the Breacon Beacons has a fantastic stretch of road to explore. Bikers love it - it's long with straights and bends, up's and down's, burger van's at intervals spectacular scenary ( if your going slow enough to appreciate it )
Lately the coppers are clamping down on the speeders using the helicopters so look up now and again Very Happy
