Basically if your a yamaha technician u get the opportunity to enter a thing called the "Yamaha technicians guild", every year yamaha hold the grande prix to try and find the best technicians in the world.

First round which i have already done is uk only and is basically a multiple choice exam asking u questions on technical specs, diagnosing problems etc, and doing various things to a timetable yamaha set (services, changing bits etc)

The second round is much of the same but it gets alot harder.

Then your off to europe for the european finals, in which the top guys and girls from all over europe compete to be the best, again more exams but also alot of practical.

then the world final.... now this i dont know much about, i know about the other rounds because the guy who has/is training me ranked third in europe last year but didnt go further because he didnt wanna leave his family at xmas

there are prizes all the way along from shirts to bikes, winner of the european stage gets a brand new xt660r and i think the winner overall gets a bike of his/her choice

as this is only the first time i have entered this im not too sure on the specifics..ill try and find out
