Claiming of electric company.

Last night were i live the northern ireland electricity was messing about with the power, anyhows its damaged my 2 tv's (the screens have gone purple/green in the corners)

I have phoned them and put a complaint in, the operator says they had a power surge and they will contact me within 10 working days with a response.

Im just curious were i stand with this, has anyone else ever had this problem or experience similar to this?

Had some fook off power surge a while back too, although this was caused by lightning hitting a pylon. And yes, it blew up everything.

Im pissed because one of the tv's cost me 450 quid and is only 4 months old Crying or Very sad

Yeah its under warranty still but it was fine until yesterday, i don't see why the NIE should get away with this.
