Hi / low beam switch

Just finished working on a youngsters Malaguti F-12 scooter thingy, its all up and fine and dandy ( was in bits ) but i cannot find the hi beam switch, manuel says it should be on the left hand switch gear but it aint there!
Its part of the MOT, i know, but it just hasnt got one!
Its on an 03 plate if that helps.
Any idea's?

Dont normaly work on scooters / 50cc's
