So we are to pick up our new Focus C-Max Zetec on Monday morning, to replace our 1998 Focus which has done a trouble free 85k, until last week that is.

The battery warning light started to come on, ho ho the alternator is playing up.

Car at garage to replace said alternator - all goes fine until the grease monkey reverses the car with the bonnet up and promptly destroys the bonnet on a supporting beam. Garage no quibble will arrange for replacement bonnet / spray job / fitment next week.

Meanwhile I had a new rear tyre fitted on the bike a few weeks ago and rear pads replaced at the same time. The rear brake starts squealing and I've had a couple of tale end slides during the week. Turns out there's a fucking great nail in my new rear tyre, just oon the leading curve edge - unlikley to be repairable.

New tyre £125 inc fitting, new alternator £169 inc fitting, new bonnet to be sorted by garage (hopefully there will be little inconvenience). We have the expense of Christmas fast approaching I did'nt need any of this.

I seem to have the bad joo joo at the moment, and to cap it all Arsenal are at Bolton tomorrow.

I'm in a foul mood with the Mrs, I need some cheering up Evil or Very Mad Sick

I worked at a ford dealership when I was back in the UK and I can honestly say I hate fords Laughing

Most annoying problem was water getting into the cars and its stupid things like the scuttle pannel is all distorted from heat.

Also the cmax and smax and new focus automatics are utter crap. Had a Smax chew its flywheel with only 1500 miles on the clock and ford said that it wouldnt be covered under warrenty Laughing

As I said earlier the car has 85k and the only warning light we had until now was the fact that a door had'nt been shut properly. The has been good as gold (touch wood) and this is our only outlay in for years (apart from tyres & MOT etc).
Incidently we picked up a brand new C-Max today on the strenght of our current Focus.

PS to continue the bad luck theme, went tp pick the bike up this evening (another nice new tyre), only to find one glove in my helmet. So I buy another cheap pair to get me home, then I find my lost lying glove in the street!
