kymco zing 125 steering lock not working is there a certain

i have just bought a kymco zing 125. the steering lock does not appear to work, i just wondered is there a certain way to do this like on my cg 125 it had to be pushed in and turned. i have read the book and it says turn 180 degrees to lock but it only goes 90. ive also tried pushing in and turning but nothing.

just wondered if it was broke or i have the knack wrong

the normal approach is to turn the bars to hard lock left and turn the key on the lock until it stops then wiggle the bars a little bit from side to side until the lock engages fully.

although as i found with my kymco pulsar it doesnt take much for the lock to sieze/corrode. try some penetrating oil in the lock to free it off.
