New to the bike world...not sure what bike to get?

Evening all,

I am very new to the whole bike forum and bike enthusiast world.

I have always liked bikes but never took it as an interest above cars as they scared the poo out of me.

But since chatting and going round a few bike showroom's with my mate (TOM M) i have chosen to go down the bike route and will hopefully be taking my CBT, theory and bike test at some point during spring next year when i manage to have a few quid spare.

So please be gentle with me, and i am seeking some advise on what to get as my 1st bike.

I am favoring a kawasaki zxr400 at the moment but there are so many other choices out there.

Any tips or advise it would be greatly appreciated.

Deffo get the test done asap, once you get on a bike youll never look at cars the same way. Cool

I loved my zxr4 but the 400's are very small and being as tall as you are you may get a touch of cramp but then again on most sports bikes you do anyway

I think i'd get back pains on any sports bike.

I'm 6ft 4 and really skinny, i weight in at 12 stone, just so those of you get an idea what were working with here lol.

There's more fat on a frozen chip that on me.
