I have a GSF600 and have just read an artical in a magizine which mentions that the linkages are prone to seizing, but i am unsure what linkages they are talking about and were they should be greased, as i have little mecanical experience, it also mentions head barings should be replaced and well greased is this easy to do

thanx

Suzuki are famed for assembling bikes with next to no grease. With a bit of luck if it's a few years old then previous owners and/or servicing mechanics have sorted it properly.
The linkages are the suspension mountings, it is worthwhile stripping, cleaning and greasing them, the swingarm pivot, front and rear wheel axles and head bearings along with all the other minor moving parts.
It's not hard, get a manual, follow it and you'll be OK and learning a bit more about your bike.
Oh and don't forget to clean the brake calipers regularly or they will stick/seize.
