when you take the exhaust off the only thing that should fall off is the gasket, its a metal ring type thingy that goes between the exhaust and the cylinder.

well you need to take the tank off so if you dont turn the petrol off it could get a bit messy not to mention flamable Razz as for the oil with the engine off the oil pump is off so very little oil (if any) should come out.

when i did mine i turned the fuel tap off and run the engine untill it run out of fuel, so there was nouthing in the carb when i took it off.

good luck[/quote]

i think on the mito theres a restriction in the exhaust and u need to get a power valve.

The exhaust is easy, just don't drill through the exhaust! With the intake i'd turn the tap off, and run until dry to save on loosing fuel

Let me guess you left the bike ticking over and just revved it...that'l be why it took 15 mins, should've just kept blasting up and down your road Very Happy

Souunds like you are describing the reed valves and block. Engine might just about struggle into life without it, but not do much (although you can have piston ported 2 strokes without reed valves or disk valves).

My guess is that the restrictor has already been removed, or was never fitted

All the best
