On the way home from work today, pulled away from lights......pop !

Pulled up to investigate, and found the exhaust is blowing . Cant see to what extent yet as its pitch black outside and i won't get chance to look in daylight untill the weekend.

In the meantime, any ideas where i can get a replacement system from ?

I'm scared to ask about the cost ! Shocked Sad

First things first, make sure it isn't where the manifolds join the collector. There may have been a gasket go in the joint, which is a very easy and cheap fix, though a mechanic would have a better chance of getting a good tight joint.

Carefully (without touching it! Rolling Eyes - I'm just covering myself here) feel along the exhaust (if you can't see it/ hear it) until you can feel the warm gas. This will let you know where the gap is. The F650 system is a quality stainless item and should take a lot of neglect and abuse to rust properly.

The price of a new/ aftermarket system really would shock you.

They tend to go at the headers but this can also be a symptom of carb problems.

Yeah i will probably get it welded, i was just trying to look at the worst case scenario too. Sounds like it is coming from the down pipes, but cant confirm that yet .
