I'm looking at the new 06 one for £5199, Dad's happy to finance it for me, Insurance is £800 TPFT w/Euro BreakDown Cover,

Any good??

Im 17, No years no claims, Don't want a sports bike, have full license (A2)

I think, like alot of people on this forum, that buying a brand new bike as your firts bike is not a good idea. Purely for the fact that the bike will lose alot of money when you come to sell it and chances are if you drop it(evceryone drops their bike at some point, I have) it will lose even more value.

Does look like a nice bike mind.

I like the look and riding position of the GSR but I've read complaints about too much velcro securing side panels, and a snatchy throttle. (I think there is a remap for that though)

Its a nice feeling buying new....depends how long you are keeping it and can you afford to run it....nice bike all the same.
