engine running without oil??

This has just been bugging me, i understand the problems you can cause by not lubricating the engine enough with 2 stroke.....

But are there obvious signs when the bike isn't getting enough or any oil.
As when mine was leaking i'm not too sure how much was getting into the engine but i didn't notice anything different, same power, same noise, smoke and all that. I presuming if you starved it of oil that you'd know about it pretty quick, how exactly tho?

BANG!!!!!!!!

two strokes do not like running with no oil, your no just by the smell or lack of smell plus the smoke will be clearer also put your had behide the exhaust and then smell you hads if you dont smell burnt oil then theres no burning oil Razz

it depends on the bike!!! just check it every week (thats what i do)

Or on my old bike, and two of my mates...350 riding hard and 500 at lower (but nt low!) revs
