So, my new bike is almost road worthy (waiting on a chain-sprockets, and to get my forks back from MTC).

However, I still have one annoyance. The tank capacity. I can get a little over 120miles on a good day, from a full tank (not including reserve). This is not enough.

As I quite often go up to York, I'd really like to be able to do it one go (I can dream), or at least only stopping once.

I believe it currently holds 20litres (5l of which is reserve). Does anyone know where you can buy/have made/how to make a larger tank.
I actually have a spare red tank in the garden that I was going to take a look at in the morning, pull it apart and see if anything can be modded on to increase it.

I'd really want a minimum of an extra 10l to really make it worth while..

i dout you will be able to get your hands on a 30l tank, it will need major modification and it will not look good at all, if you need long tank range on that kinda order either get a tourer or a bmw gs adventure, they have a massive tank and can go something like 400 miles on 1

Yeah, my dads actually got a GS1150 Adventure himself.

Anyone fancy starting up an expensive company to make these, so some Chinese firm can steal all the ideas and make cheap copies I could buy?

i think you can get additional small petrol tanks, intended for off roaders but they could be made to fit.
