As some of you know, I bought an SV (that is currently in a state through no fault of my own Rolling Eyes ) anyway, thats another story. The point is, whilst it is off the road I have gone back to the DR that I never had the heart to sell properly. I have a friend who is finding sourcing the funds to complete the deal difficult, and i have not the impotace to advertise it again so it is just sat in my back garden.

I swapped the insurance back over to it today and took it out for a spin. Within minutes my taste for riding was refreshed, compared to the SV it is slow (though the throttle response is instant), it wanders at speed, it has a tiny tank range, it barely stops and it doesn't like corners, but none of that matters. I can ride that bike faster and get more a more rewarding sense of achievement and fun whilst doing so than I could ever ride or gain from the SV.

Something has been wrong over the last few weeks, I haven't been gelling with the SV (despite doing a lot of miles) and I have come to the conclusion that I just don't like it. It's a nice bike, but I get my kicks from being sat with my head in the clouds, getting disapproving looks from pensioners. A road bike may be fast, but it ain't for me.

I'm one happy chappy, sometimes it takes a broken gearbox to show you the way Wink I may have a (repaired) SV for sale soon, and be looking for a proper supermoto/moto... Thumbs Up

Ps sorry for the ramble, I'm slightly hyper at the moment.
